Hehe... The day that I stop going to work because somebody made fun of me on DS, is the day I turn in my organs of reproduction.

But seriously, ya'll suck for living in the states during the Summer of Movie Awesomeness. It's rolling into typhoon season out here and our mobility is going to be greatly reduced if things start to get rough. *Points to his flak and kevlar in his ambulance*.

We had a freakin tornado last year. No you heard that right, a tornado. It was ridiculous.

Incidentally, Speed Racer is out now, as well. The vast majority of critics say it sucks. I say that it is the Citizen Kane of out time.

I feel your pain Doc. I'm going into the Navy in two weeks. Missing a lot of great movies that will be coming out because of boot and the like. No Batman, no Mummy 3, no, well you get the idea.

The worst part is that when I finally do get to see it, I'll be watching it on "built by the lowest bidder" screens and "I think we still have 2 speakers that work" sound.

*Cries*

I hate you all, I hope you all appreciate the sacrifices I make for your freedom.

We appreciate it, in fact, if you're ever in DC, lemme know, I'll treat ya to a steak dinner.

I'd imagine so, there are a few places to pick up a good steak on island but it's certainly not like back in the states where I can roll down to Costco and pick up 4 steaks the size of my head for a couple of bucks.

*sigh*

I have seen a place that served a ~120 dollar stake. To this day we have no idea what the hell made it so expensive (my buddy said it wasn't Kobe, or at least it was listed seperately. Super kobe? Dikoted kobe?)

Hmm... so it's like shadowrun world where real meat like beef will be more expensive. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Doc you are lucky. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) When I was in the Navy stationed on mainland Japan, early 90's, we had to wait almost a year to a year and a half before we were able to see the new movies. But I still sympathies with you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif) OH and I would kill for some authentic Japanese Ramin Noodles!!! KILL!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/facelick.gif)

Kobe is a very expensive, and from I have been told, very good piece of beef. The beef is very tender and is suppose to almost melt off your fork. The way Kobe beef is made is sad though. They take a cow and put them in a stall from birth, and that cow never leaves that stall; never. The cows are fed special nutrients to help build the muscle/meat, if I remember correctly.

I was dating a Japanese woman back then who wanted me to meet her family, and the place her family wanted to take me was a Kobe restaurant. We never went because I was stupid and broke up with her. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif)

I felt Ironman was done just as well as Spiderman, so if you enjoyed the Spiderman movie I think you will enjoy the Ironman movie.

Dude, you're mixing up your news of how kobe beef is done with what they do with some practices for veal.
Article on British farmer copying the kobe beef practices.
From the news about kobe beef, they get sake and beer in their diet and get massages also.
The never leaving the stall situation is more the stuff I've heard/read about how calves are raised for veal, they're in a tiny stall and never leave.

Been there, done that, with the serving overseas and not getting the movies until after they've hit the third run markets, so I totally relate to you guys in the service.

I was "that guy" the first time I went to see Iron Man, and the 2nd time I took my 12 year old nephew. We both enjoyed it quite a bit. I so want Tony's tech (and the stewardesses:)). Pepper was hot too, and Jarvis was a riot. I want him running my house. Liked the update to Afghanistan, as someone said it fits the current world situation. Nephew asked me when it was coming out on DVD, and when I told him probably by Christmas, he said "That'd make a great Christmas gift, Uncle Mike!" Hint taken.

It says something about the awesomeness of this movie that, by the time you leave the theater, uber-hot pole-dancing stewardesses are the last thing on your mind.

It took independent verification to convince me I had heard right when Jackson said "Avenger Initiative". Given the unparalleled awesomeness of that movie (kicks spider man 1 squarely in the thorax) the concept of a full on avengers film done with the same quality was too perfect a thing for my mind to accept.

Lets hope they don't fuck it up.

The awesomeness of Samuel L. Jackson playing a version of a character that was based off of Samuel L. Jackson is something that this world is not prepared for.

You can bury your head in the sand but Ultimate continuity is the future of Marvel film franchises. Get on the train, big guy!

but i don't wanna ;_;
in ultimate continuity, CABLE is WOLVERINE FROM THE FUTURE . . if i ain't getting things mixed up again somewhere . .
and Cable is STILL Jean Grey(Phoenix) and Scott Summers(Cyclops) son . . SO WOLVERINE WOULD SOMEHOW BE THE SON OF CYCLOPS AND PHOENIX x.x . .
