Thank you for the news feeds Synner, looking forward to the chat!

Hoping to hear alot of cool news, and it will be nice to finally find out who won the Seattle elections once and for all! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well I can probably actually make it this time, but I've never yet been able to get the chat page working on my machine. I once again submit my plea that we move this to IRC, Jabber or any other open protocol if I and the others who have had trouble are to be allowed to participate.

If I can get in there, then watch out for Tariq aka "Jericho" who will definitely be interested in what's going down in the Seattle underworld. Otherwise, somebody post a transcript so I can read it as usual, please.

-Khadim.

EDIT: Okay - I've tried everything. This chat client just plain doesn't work for people on non-Windows. As usual, will try again next month. :furious:

If it's one of the few sites banned at work, you should have no trouble finding a proxy site that isn't, ne?

It's an Ubuntu Linux box and I can't really complain since my housemate gave it to me. I'm not really a techie, but most Java sites work for me and my housemate tested it on the Java home page which reports I have Java running properly. Almost everything works fine on this, bar the very occasional website that seems not to. The chat page is one of them. I know the last chat thread had several people saying they couldn't access the site. Why not hold it on an open chat room system like IRC or Jabber?

Macs come with Java as a native part of the OS. It works fine on both of my Macs under either Firefox or Safari. (One's an intel mac, the other's a G4.)

Seems odd that of the few sites banned at work, Dumpshock should be one of them.... You don't work at Wizards of the Coast do you? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

(Or could it be that you are the reason that it's banned there? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) )

lol Dumpshock is obviously not a high enough priority. And no I work for british gas in a call centre. Just found a proxy but the chat doesn't work as they don't have java on these computers. ¬¬ Foiled again. They block quite alot probaly but I don't notice it as I don't try many sites, i'm guessing its some random thing with it having Java on the site *shrugs*

British Gas? LOL! I was walking down the street with a female friend and got approached by British Gas sales reps. He asked "do you buy from British Gas?" My friend without stopping sweetly replied: "We make our own."

Got about four feet before the O.o hit.

I know some embarrassing people. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohplease.gif)

Not so hot on just windows either both this and last time had to restart the chat or just freezes. This last time had to unplug the puter totally locked up.

When its working its sluggish get chat in quick bursts then lots of nothing for while.

Hell yeah. If it's over, shame, but it was fun while it lasted. Maybe we could make this a regular thing, not plot just RP.

I'd be up for this, The atmosphere was good this evening both the banter before the chat and the stuff discussed were fun. And I never thought I'd have to deny being a former candidate for mayor of Seattle.

I'd like to see a transcript too. The RP format was cool, but it made things really fragmented and hard to follow. There was a lot of good stuff tho...

It felt a bit like old shadowtalk. Very meandering.

They should do one of these and put it in a book.
