There are various things that increase a dice pool without increasing the actual stat or skill.
For instance: PuSHed says "Characters receive a +1 modifier to Logic-linked skill tests" Do either of the augment maximums of skills or attribute affect these sorts of bonuses? |

Nope, only actual skill increases (like the adept power skill increase) are capped by this. Bonus dice keep stacking.

At the present time, the list of things that add to the actual Skill (and hence fall under the Skill limitation) are ...
- Reflex Recorders - Improves Ability Adept Power - Move-By-Wire As far as Attributes go, anything that adds directly to the Attribute in all circumstances falls under the Attribute Cap rule. Things like Bone Lacing and the like, which only add their rating to certain facets of the Attribute, or that only apply in certain situations are not limited by the Cap. |
