I got the first three books of the Dragon Lance Chronicles off my mother's book shelf when I was fourteen. That was what got me hooked on reading, fantasy, and eventually led me into gaming. She loves characters like Tasslehoff Burfoot, and if you don't know who that is, shame on you. I gave her a book by Terry Pratchett's book Interesting Times in trade the other day. I still have those very same books from fourteen years ago (apparently I'm not good at giving things back).

My wife, mother of going on five, plays games with me, runs some of the best games I've ever played, and has a great imagination. She's also my best friend. How she finds time for both I'll never know.

So come on you skags, it's Mother's Day. Take some time and get off line, call your Mom. Do it 'cause of guilt it you have to. You did probably put her through the worst pain of her life ya' know. Thank your wife, or glare at your husband until he thanks you. You've earned it.

I got my mom some chocolates, made homemade french fries, grilled NY strip steaks, bought a card, bought a good bottle of wine, and we also got some ribs. It turned out well but now I'm dead tired.

If you ever visit wherever it is I'm living at a given time I'll be happy to cook for you. I always felt you were a "nice" guy who used his powers wisely.

Sweet! And thanks, very much appreciated. I'll start making a habit of where I'm going to be, since we'lre going to start moving around a lot in the next year.

Nazi. You're treading on my gaming experience. I'm not sure I like your "Your Game Is Not OK" attitude (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This is a weird thread, and I'm thoroughly creeped out. I made my mom fudge, and since I'd never done it before, I made 4 batches, giving her the best two instead of the mess-ups. I lie and say this makes me a good person.

No, my fudge-fu is awesome. Now. It just took a while to tweak the recipe. So I wasn't BORN great at making fudge. I think getting there in just a few tries was awesome. Get off my back:)

I was trained in cooking by ninjas when I was but a little boy. Let me recommend unto you the sacred ninja scroll called "Better Homes And Gardens", as it contains many useful recepies in a format that is conducive to Zen mastery.

But reading's for nerds!
I just asked my good friend Internet, and he gave me some really easy recipes. So easy, I figured I could modify them with the addition of marshmallow cream. Apparently not, so it's a good thing I was making 2 batches of each type, 1 with and 1 without. I found the twin dichotomies of good fudge/bad fudge and white chocolate/milk chocolate both delicious AND spiritually fulfilling.

I would also like to note that the "bad" fudge was still the most delicious thing I've had this year (until my mother offered me a piece of the good fudge).
