With the twinked weapons thread having gone pretty well, I wondered what people had done with vehicles.
I also wondered if anyone could explain how to work out the cost maths of this: acceleration x body x 25 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) I'm trying to build the fastest bike I can. I've gone for the Suzuki Mirage, with Engine Customization for both speed and acceleration, nitrous injection and a turbo charger. I'm struggling to work out what the mods will cost me (I've already got the bike). |

I've gone for the Suzuki Mirage, with Engine Customization for both speed and acceleration, nitrous injection and a turbo charger. I'm struggling to work out what the mods will cost me (I've already got the bike). Base Vehicle: Suzuki Mirage - 6,500 -Handling: +2 -Acceleration: 20/50 -Speed: 200 -Body: 6 (4 Armor) -Customization Slots: 6 +Engine Customization: Speed - (240 x 6 x 5) = 7,200 -Speed: 240 -Slots Left: 4 +Engine Customization: Acceleration - (60 x 6 x 5) = 7,200 -Current Acceleration: 24 / 60 (just round it to 25 / 60) -Slots Left: 2 +Nitrous Injection - 2,500 -Current Acceleration: 24 / 80 (just round it to 25 / 80) -Slots Left: 1 -Remove Armor (4) -Slots Left: 2 +Turbocharger x2 - (100 x 6 x 20 x 2) = 100 x 24,000 -Acceleration: 34 / 100 (just round it to 35 / 100) -Slots Left: 0 Final Stats: Cost: 6,500 + 7,200 + 7,200 + 2,500 + 24,000 = 47,400 -Handling: +2 -Acceleration: 35/100 -Speed: 240 -Body: 6 (0 Armor) ... zoom. I'd note, though, that you could pull out the Nitrous for another Turbocharger, giving you a total Acceleration of 40/90 with a lot less risk. This would cost a total of 56,900. Likewise, you could ditch the Engine Optimization: Speed for two more Turbocharger slots, and keep the Nitrous, giving you a final Acceleration of 55/120 and a top Speed of 200 - all for 64,200 Nuyen. |

Wow, thanks for the quick response, Hentai. My GM has ruled that removing factory fitted equipment does not create slots, so I'd still have the armour and only 1 turbo. Save me 12kY I suppose. And my acceleration would be 32/90, I guess. Still pretty quick.
What's everyone else done? |
