Should be today; I just managed to get Tactical Operations off to indexing, so while Randall is going over those files to make sure they're A-okay to send off to our indexer, I'll bang out the transcript ...

Which version of Firefox, PM? I've been using Firefox for the chat [on OSX, though], without any major problems.

Just Firefox (script editor, off for chat) with XP, real laggy, get chat in large chunks with 10 minute + gaps and after one or two just freezes completly and have to close window and log back in. Been a real pain. What version of Firefox are you using? Is "script editor" a plug-in I haven't heard of, or are you using NoScript? What extensions do you have? How are you handling cookies? Have you tried it in IE? |

Tactical Operations? Battletech? Yeah, it's the next hardcover release for BattleTech ... 400+ pages of headaches for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

No. Loving your job does not mean loving all parts of it, and Tactical Operations has been a nightmare for pretty much everyone working on it. It's going to be a great book for BattleTech players -- we just posted the table of contents today and the response has been really great -- but it's been painful to make. I will be very happy when it's off to press and I can concentrate on Paparazzi!, Eclipse Phase, and Shadowrun for awhile. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
[One of the GOOD things about Tactical Ops is I hired a very good freelance designer to work on parts of it, and he'll be contributing to many future products, I'm sure, and it forced me to go out and hire another new freelance layout person to work on Shadowrun projects as well, and we'll see how he works out!] |

In that case, better you than me. =i)
Seriously, though, better you than me. You've done a great job thus far, certainly better than what I could do. It seems you think of serving the player base with what you do, an under-appreciated goal. Keep it up, please. |

Just Firefox (script editor, off for chat) with XP, real laggy, get chat in large chunks with 10 minute + gaps and after one or two just freezes completly and have to close window and log back in. Been a real pain. given that the chat interface is java based, i would rather look at java then firefox as the problem source... |
