This concept is actually several years old. The newest thing I can think of is that the monkey is comfortable with the robot arm and is using it to directly feed itself. Monkeys usually completely freak out when there's a robot arm in the room, even if they're the one controlling it. The original experiment had a robot arm behind a transparent barrier that the monkey could use to put treats into a basket it could reach.

Yeah, this is the first video I've seen, too. I would have liked to see more about how the interface works, rather than just occasional glimpses of a ribbon cable from behind a piece of machinery.
