So with all these other NPC->PC options floating around(Twisted Magicians especially), what about Vampire PCs?

What do you think the vampire "race" should be worth in BPs?

Meh?

What is this? Vampire week? Creepy...

Oh, and a vamp with all his awesome powers of getting sick if to close to actual food should cost maybe 40 to 50 BP, give or take.

Maybe vampire week after all. Seeing all the Blood Magic and other stuff on the front page of these forums made me think about it.

The rules to play "The Infected" were in the SR3(and SR2) runner's companion too, and it was just ghouls. To me, "The Infected" implies only ghouls.

Thanks Fuchs, I figured it was just conjecture.

Vampires have been confirmed by multiple authors working on the project and the high dev Peter Taylor. Vampire PCs are definitely in for Runner Companion.

But you still won't be able to play emo half vampire crap because that doesn't exist in Shadowrun.

Thanks Frank.

I never wanted to play an emo half-vampire, just an emo FrankTrollman.

Yes, this does seem to leave things open to interpretation. Technically, "The Infected" could include any of the following:
  • Ghouls
  • Vamps
  • Dzoo-noo-qua [sp?]
  • Banshees
  • Goblins
  • Wendigos
  • Nosferatu
  • Bandersnacthi
  • Formorians
  • Loup-Garou
  • Vampiric Pawns
  • Are Drop Bears infected, or am I misremembering?

AH, would you care to help us narrow down the list a bit?

Edit:

You mean that Frank is not a vampire? (puts garlic and stake away)
