Hello, first do you live in or near Vancouver? If you do, then have you ever seen the actresses Emily Perkins or Katharine Isabelle in person? Thank you.
Emily Perkins played the informant Sue on DaVinci's Inquest.

How can you say such things? How can you say such things about us? What we have is more than just the love of a man for a picture on the television screen. IT IS REAL! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif)

I tried to find a way to post a picture of mrs. Perkins, but I don't know how to get a picture from google to here.

Emily Perkins... rings a bell... *imdb search*
Ah yes, the girl from Ginger Snaps. She's pretty cool. I saw Ginger Snaps 3 when it screened at the Fantasia Festival here in Montreal, she was there in person for some Q&A.

Which means I win since I directly talked to her without having to resort to creepy threads asking Adam for information (who lives in Ontario, I do believe, by the way).

It would have already been less creepy had you asked for "people living in Vancouver" rather than a) stalking adam so that you can b) stalk Emily Perkins (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Actually, Lolcats has a consistent grammar associated with it, so it is classified as a dialect. Since English doesn't have a governing body, all dialects are "proper" when used by people who speak them.

Using lolcat on the internet is precisely as proper a use of English as calling your z a "zed" while in Canada or calling your underwear "pants" while in the UK. The sentences: "How so I shot web?" or "I cannot brain today - I have the dumb" are grammatically correct because they would be phrased the same way by all lolcat dialect speakers. Grammar + Vocabulary = Dialect. Welcome to the beginning of Matrix Speak.

Did...did I actually get a semi-official (albeit non-orange) warning for making a "HOW DO FIREARMS REALISM!?!?" joke? In a useless-from-the-start-should-have-been-a-PM-anyway thread?
Wow.
My first and only warning on this board, and it's for that. Excuse me, my reality filter seems to be malfunctioning.

Now, in order to attempt to keep this post on-topic, I'm going to take a wild guess at what the topic might actually be and add that I recently saw Ginger Snaps 3, and it was good. I was expecting a bad sci-fi channel movie and was pleasantly surprised.

Nahh, not a warning. Note the lack of the word "Warning" and the orange text. More of just a plea on my part. My orange response to Frank had more to do with Frank's general posting habits and attitude than anything else.

And the Ginger Snaps movies are wierd, but decent. I kinda have the hots for the girl who played Ginger (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yeah, I know. When I do go over the line, you'll go all orange, like some kind of freaky orange Ork-version of the Incredible Hulk.

Oh yeah? Good, it's not just me, then. Seeing Ginger Snaps Back the other day was actually my only exposure to the series. I've been thinking about tracking down the first two. Worth doing, then?

If you liked the third, then yeah.

Interesting thing about it really is that they kinda twist the werewolf myth a bit, and the entire thing is basically an allegory for a girl becoming a woman, puberty, and the like. It's actually a bit more disturbing than a straight horror film when viewed in that light.

Although to be fair, the lycanthropy = puberty thing has been done before, as in Teen Wolf.

The most elegant metaphorical treatment of puberty was probably Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid. Which is of course different from the Disney version. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Little_Mermaid

True. Though in this one, it goes a bit further. Specifically female puberty. Once a month for a few days? Etc, etc? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yeah, but Michael J. Fox never head to bury mutilated corpses in his backyard. Ginger Snaps is about becoming a woman if woman = feral killing machine. I honestly don't know if that's feminist or anti-feminist. It is substantially more of a body-horror movie than teen wolf ever was.

The first two Ginger Snaps movies should be watched in order, since the second follows soon after the first. The secomnd has a mind-screw ending that is worth seeing at least once and is great inspiration.
