On the 26th Adam posted a request on the shadowrun4.com for a 6th world version of Discovery Channels' I love the world commercial.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5BxymuiAxQ

Now I have no computer skills so I just rewrote the lyrics with descriptions of who would be singing what part.

I might be able to borrow armour to be the Firewatch Member.

If my hobby store hasn't sold it yet. It was in the shop for repairs after an airsoft game.

Highly awesome. Perhaps even made of win!

I look forwards to when it comes out! (I'd help, but I have no video editing skills and can't hold a tune..)

Edit:

My fiancee suggested we make it a group effort on the part of dumpshock. Maybe like hold a contest for voice clips, and build it in a flash animation.

You know, if you want to play the home game it's pretty simple.

Assuming "blank" is stand in for a syllable the entire structure of the song is

I love blank blank blank
I love blank blank blank blank
I love blank blank blank
I love blank blank blank blank
I love the Sixth World
Blank blank blank blank blank blank (something describing the sixth world)
Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada.

Just as an example for a new verse off the top of my head

The mana rift in Washington: I love play-ing God
Lone Star officer: I love my stun bat-ton
A guy by an autocook: I love tas-ty Soy
Amerind warrior: I love con-troll-ing NAN
Some dude: I love the sixth world
Some crusty old dude on ZO: Li-on-iz-at-ion too
Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada.

The challenging thing is coming up with 6th world related nouns and verbs that fit the syllable count that would be appropriate for a specific person to say. I made things more difficult for myself in the OP by trying to relate my lyrics in some way to the original lyrics as much as possible.

Troll with hands full of stuff "I love da Stuffer Shack",
Cybered person "I love my cybereyes",
Matrix icon "I love to Matrix hack".
"I love the Sixth World, and all it's whacked out things"

But it has to RHYME! XAXA XXXX XBXB XXXX, etc!

Like this.

*Two runners sitting on a pile of credsitcks.*
"It never gets old, huh?"
"Nope."
"Kinda makes you wanna..."
"Shoot people right in the face for money?"
"Yep."

I love my fixer!
I love a good disguise!
I love the dumb cops!
I love insane AIs!
I love the Sixth World,
And all its criminals!
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah,
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah!

I love the SeaSource!
I love grey, cloudy days!
I love to blast things!
I love when Johnson pays!
I love the Sixth world,
It's such a violent place!
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah,
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah!

I love to bargain!
I love when real-space warps!
I love to rig drones!
I love to piss off corps!
I love the Sixth World!
Let's all go on a run!
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah,
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah!
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah,
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah!
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah,
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah...

Also, this will be helpful in making the thing.

stuff

This one's my favorite, although "violent" doesn't fit the rhythm quite right, and I think the line about real-space warps could be tweaked, but the rest of it is gold, in my opinion. Think how many new shadowrunners we could attract with advertising like this! I vote yes.

You say "violent" like "VI-lent" here. Also, "warps" is the only word in the language that rhymes with "Corps" besides "corpse," and "corpse" is cheating.

May I offer the suggestion of changing "I love when real-space warps" to "I love the mana warps" instead?

I also like apollo124's verse a lot. It gets at a lot of core SR things.

Meh. Sounds good.

EDIT: Okay, revised version that includes some of both other ones. Other people's lines are bolded, while one I changed is italicized. Aaron's change to mine is bold and italicized.

The Humanis version:

I hate the metas,
I want to see them die
I hate bug spirits,
I hate when dragons fly
I hate the Sixth World,
Its full of meta scum

burn-the-metas, burn-the-metas

I hate the halfers,
I hate Dunkelzahn
I hate my daughter's love...
of Orxploitation bands
I hate the two Tirs,
this is a human world!

burn-the-metas, burn-the-metas

I hate the Wendigos
I hate HMHVV
I hate the vampires
and their conspiracies
I hate Asamando, they chew on human flesh!

burn-the-metas, burn-the-metas
burn-the-metas, burn-the-metas

Actually, it's not. If you have an unexpected rhyme, it can throw an ear that's not looking for it.
