Mama Growby walked by the Cavern of Waterfalls waterfront. For a Troll Mambo she is still very spry. She glanced at the swirling waters; she shifts her perception into the Astral and smiles.

“Yes I know wee one, those Humanis Goons were very surprised at your serving them for your meal. I hope they did not upset your digestion too much.

The swirling waters seem to settle abit, and the Mambo walks away with a deep earthly chuckle, echoing around the Cavern.

I am recruiting for a game of SR4 set in and based in the Ork Underground. I am looking for players who can post twice a week or more. Number of players is 4-6.

Here is a link to the Games Wiki page with character generation and house rules.
http://sr4orkunderground.wikispaces.com/

Character ideas/concepts first, first 8 posters of such will get a chance to work the concepts/ideas into a working team of Shadowrunners. The Team Concept is strongly urged.

I ask that those in many games already, hold back and give those not in games or in few games a chance to play, if not enough post then, post your ideas/concepts.

This will be campaign set in the Ork Underground with the Team working and living there a lot. Many types of jobs/work are available there taking care of Humanis types etc.

One note, I will be also using this setting for an IRC game on Sunday nights for the after action news of the two groups will be shared. Interactions are possible but not planned.

Thanks

Ooo! Oo! Me! Me!

Human doctor, recent arrival to the Seattle and the OU in general.
Skill Set: Medic/Forensics/Science possibly some Face thrown in for good measure.
Outlook: Pragmatic Humanitarian
Magic: Maybe

I have a couple of concepts I could use but I'd like to see what other people will throw into the hat.

Hmm... I need to look over my books when I get back from work but I think I might try to put together a physad doctor, possibly with just a dab of cyber.

I really want to play a human in the OU since I'll get to RP out all the racial tension down there... but I love playing orks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I would be interested in this game. I have an adept, Dancer, who might fit in well. Her background is already that of a Seattle runner who was born in the Ork Underground. If you need for us to actually live in the Ork Underground, that would be a pretty simple change to make.

Dancer

Description
Dancer is a petite but well-proportioned orkish woman who moves with the feline grace of a dancer. Pale blonde hair in a tousled pixie cut frames a deceptively innocent-looking face. She has startling bright green eyes, and a golden tan. Outside of nightclubs she tends to dress down, but she still draws people's eyes. Although attractive by human standards, she has not gone for any procedures to alter her orkish looks (tusk reduction, etc.).

Background
Dancer is a runner out of Seattle, muscle for hire, good with her gun or her fists. There are rumors she danced in some of the sleazier clubs to supplement her income when she was starting out.

Personality
Dancer's original youthful idealism has faded to a nonchalant cynicism. she has seen it all, and nothing much fazes her any more. She is cheerfully amoral, but in a laid-back, casual way. Her manner actually induces people to open up to her, since she gives the impression of being someone who won't be shocked or judgemental by most admissions.

Role
Dancer is a combat oriented adept specializing in close combat, although ironically, she tends to see it as a last resort when talking, shooting from cover, or running away are not viable options. Good social skills, not quite a full-fledged face but definitely an emergency spare.

Scab is a weasel, a fawning, simpering, ingratiating coward and weakling.

His parents were runners back in the fifties but they made their fortune and retired. Unfortunately they also made enemies on the Council of Princes and a year after their 'disappearance' they were discovered and killed by a team of 'Ghosts'.

Friends in the Shadows had gotten wind of the plot from the pattern of purchases made by the Ghosts from local Fixers but they were two late to prevent the car bombing that orphaned Scab. The existence of a baby in the vehicle was either unknown to or no concern of the assassins. Blown free of the wreckage and badly burned Scab survived long enough to be found by his parent's ex-team mates and rescued.

Spirited away into the Orc underground where he would be safe Scab grew up a lonely and persecuted orphan. Although his adoptive parents loved him and had sufficient status to force the community to accept him as a member he was forever bullied, side-lined and marginalised. He has never belonged and ekes out a meagre existence on the fringes of the community. He is not truly welcome anywhere, although he is tolerated everywhere, like a court jester, an oddity that is briefly amusing and never sufficiently annoying to persecute or expel.

He prefers his own company and the seclusion of his sewers.

Hi there, I'd certainly like to throw down and try and get into this game.

I even have a concept! Terri "Spike" Bernardo is both a Satyr ex-Lonestar officer who had a bad debt with the Mob. In order to pay it off, she had to turn to the shadows. Even after she paid the mob off, she stayed because of the people. She enjoyed working with shadowrunners more than the Lonestars and the money was much, much better. She was also tired of Lonestar's rules. They had too many. Now she runs with the group as one of the heavy hitters. Her unique style is also a sight for sore eyes on the battlefield, because when people see her shaved (With a little skunk style mohawk) and tattooed head, they know the cavalry has arrived.

Skills:
Pistols, SMGs, Assault Rifles, possibly heavy weapons?
Gymnastics, athletics, perception, dodge
Very good driving skills, could double as a vehicle rigger if needed.

How does that sound?

I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'm running a PBP right now, but I wouldn't mind playing in one too. If you want to see my posting style, check it out here:
http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?showtopic=21989

Ork street sam. (no name yet, that's always the last thing I come up with)

He's a refugee from the Manchurian desert wars. See my take on his homeland here: http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?s=&a...st&p=712333

I'm thinking a relatively low augmentation, high skill, street sam. He was a member of one of the nomadic bike based tribes that operated in the ruined cities. He literally just arrived off the boat and has very few resources apart from a few pieces of ware that the network wired into his body. Lots of skills, very little gear. He's fallen in with the Ork underground and is looking to prove himself. Very unfamiliar with Seattle in general. He'll also have (effectively) a criminal SIN represented by a disabled GPS unit buried in his skull and some mystery cyberware. Hates Horizon (and other media corps) with a passion. Has a sort of Mad Max feel about him.

I wouldn't mind participating as well. I got Unwired at GenCon, and I am kind of enamored with playing a Hacker so here goes:

Glitch - Ork Hacker

Simon Wellington (Glitch) is the runt of the litter, the youngest child of a Seattle middle class Ork busness man. He has exceptional reaction and intuition, honed with a childhood of playing net games and amatuer hacking. This sedantary lifestyle has made him barely larger than a skinny human.

Glitch is on the run, having been marked by a pro Spider on his last "Great Hack", he barely got out of his dorm room before the cops showed up. His father disowned him, but his mother will send him money from time to time. He fled to the Ork Underground, where he does not fit in too well, having been a child of relative luxury. But the ability to jack a Soykaf machine and feed people, without leaving a mark on said machine has earned him a modest sort of respect. Glitch is somewhat of a neat freak, and has the cleanest squat in the sewers

Glitch's equipment includes a very nice comm, a suite of good programs, and a handful of fly spies and other surveillance drones. His years of net game addiction has given him fairly good marksmanship ability, but he does not own a gun. He is also a blackbelt in karate, becasue his father made him get out of the house three times a week to go to the class.

Glitch is a little shy, but he has good social skills when doing the talking in VR. In that environment, he can come out of his shell, and really shine.

Does Glitch sound like he'd fit in to the group?

Are you okay with us using the Restricted Gear quality? I am using it twice, once for a Cyber Shotgun, and for a synthetic torso with a Body Customization (which raises its avail over 12.)

Sounds fun, if there's still places available, i'd like to participate, too.

I'd offer an ogre druid from southern France (no name yet, for similar reasons as Imperialus) who has only arrived in the Underground recently.

Background is centered around growing up in a hippie-commune/drug lab in the Normandie, including initial magical training by a local druid, some time as a wizganger/rioteer and part-time metahuman rights activist in and around Paris that eventually led to involvement with the Anarchist Black Cross and various activities throughout Europe that ranged from medical help for changelings and ghouls to "direct action" against various right-wing groups such as Humanis and the Volksdeutsche Reinheitspartei in Germany or arms-smuggling in the Marienbad Council.

After increasing trouble with various European jurisdictions and threats to his life by certain Nazi policlubs, he decided to move to the other side of the Atlantic for some time.

Personality-wise, he'd be a bit abrasive, but hedonistic, also chaotic and unconventional, but at heart an extremely altruist person.

Haven't statted him out yet, but would focus more on astral scouting + spellcasting than chrizh's mage (with some conjuring thrown in, plant spirits mainly, as i haven't tried them out yet, but would love to), plus some additional skills to round him out.

Being a secondary caster, i'd love to try a more "hybrid" approach, focussing on a deliberately incomplete magical skillset (which would fit in perfectly with the character's non-academic training in magic) and a slightly stronger focus on mundane skills.

Yes the Restricted Gear Quality is usable but no more than 3 times, chose wisely. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

Any chance of lifting the cap on spells known?

The current draft I'm toying with I've run out of places to spend BP's. Heck I've got 18BP's of bound spirits just to make the numbers up.

Well yes in a way......You can use the BP's to initiate your mage but instead of paying Karma you pay the price in bps. Note initiation can "Allow" you to increase your rating in Magic but again you pay the price of magic increase in BP's. I believe that will aide you consuming those excess BP's crizh. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Let me know if you plan on taking more than one rank of initiation.

So, for example, 5 BP's to join a group and 8 BP's for one level of initiation with an Ordeal?

Heck if you let me I'll take 5 ranks. There are just so many cool Metamagics I can never make up my mind which one to take...

That sounds neat...I'll certainly do that, tough i'm not sure wether i'll take more than one grade.
Can costs be based on group initiation and ordeals?

BTW, i should have a first draft of stats by tomorrow.

Here was her concept, if you need to review it:

This is turning out to be quite an exciting (if challenging to create) character... 90% done, just tweaking skills for the most part. I don't think I've ever crammed this many points of real negative qualities into a character before.

-10 due to Wanted/Criminal Sin (the network that 'financed' his tribe isn't too eager to have him running around causing mayhem in the 'civilized' world).
-5 High Maintenance Implant (his wired reflexes, 3rd or 4th hand Alphaware installed by his tribes doctor using an open flame both for light and sterilization).
-10 Flashbacks when seeing footage from the Desert Wars.
-5 Computer Illiterate (Inner Mongolia isn't exactly a hotbed of fancy technology)
He also has a Sim-Rig (currently disabled) that has a GPS unit (also disabled) that can be tracked by the network if it ever gets activated.

He also only has .24 essence, but spent less than 70K on all his gear. He's pure cyber, none of that fancy bioware that would actually cost the networks money. 2 weeks paid in a squatter hotel lifestyle, a pistol, an armoured jacket, and a knife.

As a consolation prize he spent 250 BP's on attributes and 186 on skills. If it is designed to kill someone, he knows how to use it... Just don't make him do much talking (etiquette 1). He can also drive fairly well, as long as it's a 'dumb' car.
