@Gremish
Bleh before we get too far into this can I change Weavers Paragon from Alias to World Tree? As she hasn't made any matrix rolls yet I hope this isn't going to be a problem. I've been re-reading the descriptions and while Alias is the mechanically better path World Tree is just much more suitable for her personality. As the Alias blurb is very much about hiding your own identity rather than the flow of information. Basically this would entail losing a +2 to spoof and +1 to Sleuth Sprites and swapping it for +2 to Analyze and +1 to Code Sprites. With the downside changing from must spoof lifestyle to the downside below. [ Spoiler ] Edit Out of interest would Granny and Weaver have an idea of each others resonance signatures from the dream? |

Dunno. If you've ever come into contact with Whampoa there's a reasonable chance she may have previously encountered your signature but I don't think there is any way to track you through that. I'll go check the stuff about Resonance Realms, maybe I can find you that way...
Here's a decent image of Calanais if your interested. That's what Granny's Nexus looks like. |

I don't think she would have although it is entirely possible someone from her social circle knows someone in the group. After all there can't be all that many groups of TM's out there. Mostly I was checking if the Matrix Signature was how each TM saw the other. As it's very much a unique (excepting when they're faked) way for a TM/Sprite to know another TM/Sprite. And I was pondering leaving the signiture somewhere a dataseach would locate, with the thinking that if she knew another TM was looking that'd be a relatively discreet way to find out. Although actually helping someone find her goes against every survival instinct she has! Which is why she hasn't done it without first talking to Abe and Viper. |

I was thinking something similar. Not only from a Resonance pov but from a regular Matrix one. I'm guessing at 7 or 8 Data Searches being undertaken very urgently today. Ever get a perfect match from Google? Me, neither.

Lol, we all smack the "I feel lucky" button and end up at some random node that has nothing to do with any of us, or this story... but since we all did it, we all meet each other there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

All this talk of searches reminds me I need to post the OOC bits for my post.
@Gremish [ Spoiler ] Edited because I used the wrong Invisible Castle Link. |

Who'd think that finding anyone in this batch of lunatics, drunks, and degenerates would count as being lucky? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I went from being out of the office at 4pm every day to being there until 7pm or later every night for the last week, and was in all day Saturday. Life pops up like that, and it's got to come first. In the mean time, we'll all run around like chickens with our heads cut off. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

@crizh: Maybe it's the 12 hour day talking, but I'm probably almost as out of it as Vice is. What's in the attachment that Granny sent along?

A pre-programmed agent that creates a secure private comms network and gives you access to Granny's nexus. It's exactly the sort of thing that you've used on several runs to keep the teams comms secure. |

Just the sort of thing that would save someone who's in a rational state of mind a 45 minute drive across town in the rain. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

BTW, just in case it would make a difference to some of you whether or not you'd have recognized Julianne's face in the dream, I thought I'd rattle off some of the shows/sim-movies she was in (* meaning they were polypov):
Karl KombatMage: The Legend Continues* - Tricia Turbo, primary antagonist Karl KombatMage: The Series - recurring villain/femme fatale Tricia Turbo The Ultimate Thrill: The Series - Primary character of the series, Tricia Turbo Fall of the Arcology* (banned in the UCAS and Renraku corporate enclaves) - General Colloton, portrayed as powerhungry and using the retaking of the arcology to advance her political career at the cost of the lives of her men and at the risk of setting Deus upon the world when she took control of the situation response away from Renraku. A pro-corporate anti-government satire peice. Maniac Star* - Officer Madeline Simmons, super-cop betrayed by the corporation and returned as a vengeful corpse animated by a Voodooo Loa to exact vengeance by committing random murders while uniformed as a Knight Star (amalgation of Lone Star and Knight Errant) officer - famous for a scene hailed as the longest gun fight in a Sim-Sense movie (about an hour of constant un-cut fighting) in which the character took on an entire Knight Star station before being brought down by a runner team, the mage sacrificing his life to banish the Voodoo Loa. High Noon - Calamity Jane, the anti-hero protagonist of this modern incarnation of a classic western - essentially a shadowrunner movie set in the Old West of the 1800s. Arabian Knights* - Cylia Sindacco, a mercenary hired by the Catholic Church to hunt down Shedim in the Middle East Heart of Darkness* - Played three roles in this poly pov thanks to special post-production and stand-ins: Ms. Johnson, Marie Beaumont (the team face), and Haley 'Stiletto' Grainger (the primary antagonist) Mouth of Madness (still in theaters, most recent sim-flick) - Played the protagonist role of Helen Lovecraft - the descendant of H.P. Lovecraft, as she progressed from a skeptic, sane woman trying to distance herself from her heritage as she slowly was driven insane while battling the forces of the Ancient Ones to save the world, but in the end embraced the power of the Necronomicon and gave herself to their service. (she won an Academy Award for this peice, being hailed as a true Shakespearian Actress - critics saying "Horizon Entertainment Group couldn't have gotten a better performance if they'd raided a sanitarium for an actress!") A sequel has completed production but hasn't been released yet. There are of course others, but I think that's enough (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Weaver is doing some data searching, trying to track down any sites linked to the other 7.
Spoiler tag covers specifics and dice rolls. [ Spoiler ] Edit 1 - @Gremish Out of interest do the dreams occur at a set time? Or does it depend on timezone? For example if someone in the party had the dream in the GMT timezone would it occur at the exact same time (regardless of timezone differences) as someone in Tokyo? Or would it occur at say 10pm local time? This is only really important for knowing if some groups are 'ahead' of others in terms of the time for hunting for data etc Edit 2 - @Gremish as well. I've gone and rolled the dice offline and then typed them up - so. Because Invisible Castle is still broken. Hopefully that's not a problem? If it is and you'd rather roll the dice yourself then fair enough. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I'm going to be unable to post again until Sunday... my car died yesterday and I have to fly to my parent's house to pull my old car out of storage. Sorry for the inconvienence. If it matters, Julianne's plan over the next few game hours is just to go to breakfast, wait until about 11:00am, and call Jerry (The Producer) and run the idea for travel-plans past him to see if she can make it to those other cities in her public persona (hoping to find the others by making it easier to find her) with about a day of 'off-the-clock' time in each city.

I wish they'd fix Invisible Castle. Rolling by hand is so annoying when you have Matrix actions to handle!
Oh btw does anyone know if you can speak while in Hotsim VR? Or do you need to route your voice through the nearest speaker? The BBB talks about Simchips disabling motor functions but would a TM have the same trouble? |

Invisible Castle annoys me. You can't tell it your using Edge (God please correct me if I am mistaken) and all that copying links drives me up the wall. I used it once in 'Deep Water Blackout' for a series of summons/bindings and thought I was going to loose my mind.
I much prefer this. It's pretty straightforward javascript. I'm going to save a copy locally so I can alter it to increase the number of dice for the 'fields of fire' game 'cos 20 won't be nearly enough but apart from that it's great. Simple. I like simple. Actually... [ Spoiler ]

That is quite good. Is there any way to link the rolls? Or do you have to just copy paste them?
