Invisible Castle annoys me. You can't tell it your using Edge (God please correct me if I am mistaken) and all that copying links drives me up the wall. I used it once in 'Deep Water Blackout' for a series of summons/bindings and thought I was going to loose my mind. I much prefer this. It's pretty straightforward javascript. I'm going to save a copy locally so I can alter it to increase the number of dice for the 'fields of fire' game 'cos 20 won't be nearly enough but apart from that it's great. Simple. I like simple. Actually... [ Spoiler ] I'm not quite sure if I'm right in what I think you mean by "can't tell it you're using Edge," but there's this. (Can't actually show it due to the aforementioned downtime.) Standard Roll: 11d6.hits(5) Roll w/ Edge: 14d6.hitsopen(5,6) |

I'll have to mess around with it some once the website is back up. @Gremish, is Jane famous enough to fall into the "automatically recognized by anyone with a commlink" catagory of Global Fame? |

@Gremish
I was wondering if we got any external views of the temple that the sphere was in; Abe might be able to identify the plants or animals in the scene, or animal remains or carvings or what-have-you and get a possible location for the temple as a first step. Not sure what kind of test that would be: memory, biology, some wilderness skill? |

Not sure what kind of test that would be: memory, biology, some wilderness skill? Good point. What can we see of the people in the scene in terms of ethnicities or clothing? Can we hear them? On an unrelated note, I can't find anything in a current SR product about the ratings of ID scanners used to regulate air travel. Based on his own previous experience, does Vice think his current fake SINs and licenses will get him onto a plane and through customs? |

I'm going to be unable to post again until Sunday... my car died yesterday and I have to fly to my parent's house to pull my old car out of storage. Sorry for the inconvienence. If it matters, Julianne's plan over the next few game hours is just to go to breakfast, wait until about 11:00am, and call Jerry (The Producer) and run the idea for travel-plans past him to see if she can make it to those other cities in her public persona (hoping to find the others by making it easier to find her) with about a day of 'off-the-clock' time in each city. Get everything sorted out? |

Huzzah! Now all we need is an idea of how the searches have gone and we can resume the IC action.
Unless it turns out Weaver can talk while in Hotsim VR. Then she could actually reply to Viper. |

She could talk by sending him a message, right?
Also, I think we're still waiting to hear about Scope's interpretation of Jane's fame - whether or not its the "anyone with a commlink would recognize her face" level of global. That could cut down our time to meet one another significantly if everyone has a common point of reference. Now, getting their call past her agent is another matter. Hehe so we might well all get a bonus to finding her, but a penalty based on how good her make-up department and CGI people are.
Hmmm I wonder if Chibi Ghostwalker has a little speaker installed. Because then I could just talk through that.... (I'm avoiding sending text based messages whenever possible, because they're much easier to intercept than a signal I can send through a slaved device or just plain say vocally) |

You could always just subscribe their commlinks to your biological node, which means anyone who wants into any of their systems has to hack your brain to do it.
And I doubt getting past Jane's agent would be THAT much of a problem. |

I dunno, when was the last time you just tried to get ahold of a moderately successful movie star? And succeeded?

I've got no idea if Abe and Viper would trust Weaver enough to let her have so much control over their commlinks.
Plus depending on how the sensors work she might already be near her limit for subscribed devices. (I have no idea if a sensor counts as one or if the device the sensors are fitted to counts as one. EG does a Hand held sensor with three cameras count as three seperate slaved objects or just one?) Currently I think she's got her commlink, glasses, radio signal scanner, Emotitoy and potentially between 3 and 9 other sensors to slave to herself. (And if I'm not mistaken the limit is something like double system score right?) EDIT The famous bit doesn't make getting in touch easier, but knowing roughly which part of the world she's in would be. Because she'll have fanclubs who do the legwork (that is to say stalkers) for us. Then it's simply a matter of knowing she's on a flight to place A and waiting near the VIP area with a cheap card sign saying July 7th in huge letters. |

Just have to be standing there to be recognized. Edit: Though the sign is funnier. |

We could each have one! For added amusement perhaps we could get Brick to have one saying 'You're the girl of my dreams'

Nah, just stick it on his back when he isn't paying attention (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Bah. Write it on his giant foam cowboy hat in a language he doesn't speak. |

Nah, just stick it on his back when he isn't paying attention (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) But then where would we put the sign with the inappropriate comment about him being fitted with 'three cyberlegs'. |

How is that remotely inappropriate? It lets him kick ass while standing there looking intimidating!

A huge troll kicking ass with his 'third leg'. The mental image shall haunt me for days....
Thankfully not as long as when someone I know offline tried to create an ork with a cybernetic crotch cannon.... |

Weaver is doing some data searching, trying to track down any sites linked to the other 7. Spoiler tag covers specifics and dice rolls. [ Spoiler ] Edit 1 - @Gremish Out of interest do the dreams occur at a set time? Or does it depend on timezone? For example if someone in the party had the dream in the GMT timezone would it occur at the exact same time (regardless of timezone differences) as someone in Tokyo? Or would it occur at say 10pm local time? This is only really important for knowing if some groups are 'ahead' of others in terms of the time for hunting for data etc Edit 2 - @Gremish as well. I've gone and rolled the dice offline and then typed them up - so. Because Invisible Castle is still broken. Hopefully that's not a problem? If it is and you'd rather roll the dice yourself then fair enough. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) They always seem to come at midnight in your area. Doesn't matter where you are or what your doing, that is when they begin. 2) Please feel free to roll your own dice. I trust everyone here =) |

The moment you see her you know her, if only as one of those "damnit thats a famous person, what was her name again???" moments. |
