Rea 7 + Int 2 + Wired 2 = 11 (11d6.hits(5)=6)

17/3 IP

Taking cover and observe in detail, now that we can see a bit better.

Question: do people want me to open a new OOC thread for combat?

I don't think its necessary, but if you do, I have no objection.

One option in the situation we are in, should we survive, is to make it looked like a "Failed" hijacking after getting at the goods so we can take a look at what is in the packaging. Or we can simply withdraw and see if we can continue following the trail.

For sake of simplicity, I'm going to put all the NPCs on init of 10 - any objections let me know.

Ziro, your spirits are up first; go for it.

As a move action, my two air spirits will continue to observe the target while evading the other spirits. They will not fight, unless the enemy spirits attempt to attack (attack either my spirits, or the party members my air spirits are guarding.)

I haven't given any orders to my earth spirit, yet. I just summoned him to be present and look intimidating for now. I haven't actually requested the spirit 'to intimidate'. I am not sure that my spirits "fear" power is going to influence these enemy spirits. If (when) I ask my earth spirits to perform a service (i.e. defend or attack), I will let it use it's own judgement as to how best to perform the service.

As for Ziro, even though it isn't his go, you should know that while he is bracing for an attack, he is also trying to keep the rest of the party in sight, so that he can provide overwatch, especially counter-spelling.

Should the issue come up on someone else's go, Ziro provides:

5d6.hits(5) → [5,4,1,2,2] = (1)

1 hit to each PC protected.

Ok, great. Just checking: your spirits are all still on the astral, right? Nobody's materialized?
Cinzia, go ahead. No need to wait on me to respond, once it looks like it's your turn, just post.

Back to you, Dionysus.

Let's get this party started. Ziro is ready to rock and roll - if necessary.

I had assumed that people had lost interest, so I put everything in the back of my mind - not to blame anyone, just that I haven't been doing a great job GMing this. Going forward, it's going to be a good couple of weeks before I can put some serious thought back into this (I work at a High School, and the weeks/months before graduation are insane). Are people still interested/willing to wait, or should we just flog me around the fleet once or twice for being a bad GM and call it a loss?

I'm not in any rush, either. Oracle has been fun to play, too, but I suspect since we are likely entering combat, that he'll be seeing his last vision soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Seems like you have dodged the flogging - for now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/talker.gif)

Ok, here we go. I reviewed the posts, and I should have the tactical all straight, please let me know if I screw something up.

NPC Turn:
  1. An ugly-looking spirit starts materializing right in front of Ziro, sprouting extra claws as it does so.
  2. Two garage doors swing open suddenly & two stepvans burst out of them, and head for the main road at top speed. Ziro & Oracle can see that each of the two other patrolling spirits head towards a van and start following it.

Oracle, you're up.

Okay, will get to this this afternoon. I want to review a couple of options first since it has been a while since I looked over this character's capabilities. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Attempting to move, stealthily, around the bush. (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2133121/) with 0 hits (but no glitch!)
Otherwise, declaring full-dodge for this round should combat ensue before he gets to go again.
