Perception: 9 Hits

Jean will drop a couple of Incendiary Mortars in front of the flanking group which ought to make the terrain somewhat treacherous. The glare mod in this terrain ought to be fairly harsh as well.

I just noticed from DWC's post that I forgot to add the TacNet bonus.

Doh...

Perception roll: 23d6 = [1,5,3,5,5,2,2,6,2,3,2,6,1,3,2,6,2,1,2,2,5,6,3] = ( 8 )

Strategy+logic to make pre-entry plans: [2,4,6,2,6,5,3,2,6,2,3,2,3,5,1,4,4,3,6,5] = (7)

I am not objecting to the rolls, I am trying to understand the reasoning...
How do visual enhancements or tacnet bonuses apply to interpretting the feed we are receiving from the site about the tactical situation?
1) None of our tactical sensors (required for the Tacnet) are picking up anything,
2) None of our visual (or auditory) enhancements are pciking up anything.

It is all in the feed, or it isn't.
The one exception would be Abbadon, who does have his own viewpoint.
Later, Once Lillith has her gear in place, she ought to have her own modifiers, since she is used to using all that input.

I see your point about the visual enhancement bonus, but I'd imagine we're getting enough information from the site security team to keep the tactical AR software functioning. Editing my post to remove the visual bonus.

Sorry about the last 9 days had a really iff net conection and a semi hectic day to day life. I'll try to get on top of this asap.
On a side note I'm having tropuble really getting any thing worth while for the lager hits in the perceton roles so for you with more than 6 hits feel free to ask a few questions that I will answer as part of the test.

Just a few quick questions:

1) How many attackers are there?
2) How many defenders are there?
3) Did the attackers bring vehicles, or are they on cross country skis and snowshoes?
4) What are the attackers armed with?
5) Is there any sort of cohesion to the attack, or are they a bunch of slapdicks with automatic weapons, running around breaking things like badly parented four year olds in a department store?
6) Do the attackers have an obvious line of retreat?
7) Does there appear to be someone who is the emotional leader of the attack on the ground?
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Are there any drones among the attackers?
9) Are there any spirits among the attackers?
10) Are the attackers wearing heavy armor?
11) Do the attackers seem to have anything heavier than machineguns?
12) How are the attackers responding to their own casualties?
13) Are there any hanging back from the main attack who might be carrying demolitions gear for destroying the site if the defenses can be overrun?
14) How are they responding to the mortar fire? Are they taking cover, or are they standing around stupidly catching shrapnel left and right?
15) Did we lose Muspellsheimer somewhere along the way?
16) Do any of the attackers appear to be standing off at range to provide covering fire?
17) How high are we approaching the site from?
18) Who is John Galt?
19) How well trained and coherent to the site security appear to be?
20) Who's winning?
21) Do the attackers appear to be heavily augmented, or magically protected?

1) How many attackers are there?
Around 150
2) How many defenders are there?
25 20 out side 5 holding the fort
3) Did the attackers bring vehicles, or are they on cross country skis and snowshoes?
Skis and shoes from a LZ about 5km out
4) What are the attackers armed with?
Manly AK-97/98s a few knockoff MGs and thanks to Abbadon’s good roll you notice a few LAWs
5) Is there any sort of cohesion to the attack, or are they a bunch of slapdicks with automatic weapons, running around breaking things like badly parented four year olds in a department store?
They are mostly pumped up on k-10 as far as you can tell as their handlers occasionally putdown a poor out of control slot so the latter.
6) Do the attackers have an obvious line of retreat?
any way away from the base would do they might make for the LZ or just run its hard to tell
7) Does there appear to be someone who is the emotional leader of the attack on the ground?
There a re few handlers of shorts the look like street sams and are out of their element here but there are doing a good job of team work and directing the horde
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Are there any drones among the attackers?
None
9) Are there any spirits among the attackers?
None
10) Are the attackers wearing heavy armor?
No all in matching armor jackets
11) Do the attackers seem to have anything heavier than machineguns?
As said before a few men a lugging LAWs
12) How are the attackers responding to their own casualties?
The majority of the crazed fanatics are running in regardless some are moving form areas of heavy fire
13) Are there any hanging back from the main attack who might be carrying demolitions gear for destroying the site if the defenses can be overrun?
The handlers are putting bodies between them and the defending force they might have demo gear
14) How are they responding to the mortar fire? Are they taking cover, or are they standing around stupidly catching shrapnel left and right?
Badly the terrain is flat with little cover the most that can do is keep moving and pray there to close to risk shelling the defending force.
15) Did we lose Muspellsheimer somewhere along the way?
Maybe I’m not sure on this so unless I get word I’ll kill the pc in the fight or at least wound her.
16) Do any of the attackers appear to be standing off at range to provide covering fire?
A few are
17) How high are we approaching the site from?
How high would you like to?
18) Who is John Galt?
I can’t tell you that
19) How well trained and coherent to the site security appear to be?
Well trained
20) Whose winning?
The defenders are losing ground under weight of numbers
21) Do the attackers appear to be heavily augmented, or magically protected?
The handlers are obviously augermented by cyber and the main force might have some basic cheap skills or eyes.

There’s a quick list of answers.

As for the terrain, it’s flat white and cold. However looking at some geological surveys that where included the mission brief there is a cravas field to the right of the base witch could be used to trap the attackers.

I'll spell check ASAP but I’ll post now any way.
