I'll post the post for the new years meet and party up on Friday so make sure your all on the same day XD. On the wiki I will begin to post articles on keypower players and such. Beginning with a detailed look on TSAT then General Yassem (these represent conman and shadow knowledge that could be found with data searches and simple legwork). I hope this add to the flavor of the plot I will also add a IC section The Oupost for different Mercenaries' outlooks on the events feel free to post IC in that area when its up. I will also reference a few items of good reading to help stay IC/ understand your place in the 6th world. Also 85% of Sub-Saharan Africa's population died out with Vistas so its more populated in urban locations plus with para-critters pushing rural people to lager settlements its now much less people friendly.

FYI, mates. I've got the ability to set up life pacts. A couple of you already have them set up. Let me know if any of you others want one.

LIFE PACT:
Cost to you: 1 karma per use.
Result: spend 1 complex action and instantly heal 2P damage.

Is that your freebie Pact?

Technically, we still have to pay Karma for the Spirit Pact Quality if we take you up on that, unless Dumori waves it.

I've been wondering about this.

Free Spirits get one Pact for free. I'm pretty sure this is to encourage them to take the new Friendship Pact without which they are incapable of earning karma.

As I recall a Friendship Pact does not require the 'Friends' to expend karma for the quality but all the others certainly do.

It's not my freebie pact. I did pick up friendship pact as that one. Life Pact, I paid for.

huh... you'd have to pay karma to get it? didn't really know that... *ponders, then shrugs* I'm sure dumori won't complain...

The pacts are free form our spirit as with 10 edge is 100karma that logicly gose to him and not going to happen also RAW could alow this.. as friendship pact says its free to players and the first spirit pact that spirit takes is free.

Makes me almost wish I'd saved a little bit of karma after character creation. Almost. I had to have all those anti-vehicle missiles.

I expect that as things play out Tam will probably talk with Adrian about this (life pact) within a few sessions.

FYI to fluff out what Dumori's saying: For the life pact, You aren't going to be charged to form the pact. IC reasoning is that Adrian's not charging you for it, because he knows he'll make up the difference for a long time before any of you get killed. BTW, AI characters cannot form a spirit pact. Unfortunately, any of you who have AI characters are plain out of luck.

In other news... I still don't have a call sign.

EDIT: Dumori has suggested "Dead Man's Hand" for my call sign. Opinions?

Ok every one the game will fully start this week. So post you arrival to the meting. Then I'll put a IC post up. If you can't make it in person Dust has rigged a few holo-projectors up with cameras to allow to to "be" there. After this round or two of posting we'll begin the job. As I ad-hoc more than right full scritps and such any Ideas on wat to will be taken in to account though I will "railroad" a tiny bit for the first part of the plot (it's needed that you fight on one side of the TSTA war thus you will be forced in to that and fighting for makes the most sence you'll see why.)

Looking at my IC posts so far, I've assumed the meeting is on the morning of the 1st, is that right?

If not I can always edit them and dial the dates back one day...

That's the beauty of the PCs being mercenaries. They're on the side that you put them on, since that's who's paying them. And this really doesn't seem like the sort who're idealistic enough to decide they need to switch sides for some moral reason.

For fun? No. For a moral reason? No. Because they see an opportunity for getting paid twice? Almost definitely.

Of course there is nothing to stop you completing your contract and then, having proved your worth, immediately hiring on with the other side...

Can we go with late morning on the 1st then? Give everyone a chance to party and then sleep it off...

Yeah, the Schlock Mercenary reference also reminds one to pay very close attention to the precise details of the contract before agreeing to the job.

Yep and to negotiate pay increases incase things go hairy. if you get hired to stand and scare off an attack but it turns to a war you don't just want t get paid for standing and looking pretty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) . If I think Its needed I'll negotiate the first contract as Dust to show how but it looks like you all get the jist of it so that should be fine.

Most employers will add a "no turncoat" clause to the contract... makes it so that you can't be hired by the other side for, say, a year, so that you don't use information gained during your employment against your employer.

Which is why you have a hacker remove such a clause before signing (or after). If they happen to be using paper, nanites can do the same.
