So there are a couple of survalance techniques that I don't really see how you fake.
1) MAD scanners take a reading and generate a ware profile. You really can't go around swapping much out. Also if the employees at a facility all are supposed to have a particular corp issued data-jack how do you beat that as a runner? Get your hangs on one and install a second hand data-jack you KNOW was made for a corp drone? 2) Similarly skeletal analysis, is basically unstoppable. Is there anything one adept power and an obviously extent ( but not actually published ) spell that can help you out? any thoughts. |

Um. You're talking about the kind of infiltration where you join a company and eventually spring a job?
If you're doing the sneaky kind and they're doing a skeletal analysis you've already failed. As for MAD scanners that's a lot easier to deal with now that bioware is so much more popular. Also lots cyberware isn't magnetic or even make of metal. And a fair bit of cyberware that is detectable is also legal. Got a cyberarm? Just make sure your fake sin mentions that car accident you lost the first one in. |

As you say you cannot fake them. So you have to avoid them. Adapt and over come.

1) MADs come in rating 1-3. They need 1 hit to detect a metallic object. So, thats an average they won't detect jack squat. Not to mention there are MAD jammers in RC, 35-35. Buy a rating 3 jammer, and you're safe from anything.
2) Skeletal analysis? Not sure what you're refering to here, but a physical mask should work fine. |

QUOTE As you say you cannot fake them. So you have to avoid them. Hack the scanners. Hacking, normal or Resonance-based, is the key to success in almost every SR4 scenario. |

Hack the scanners. Hacking, normal or Resonance-based, is the key to success in almost every SR4 scenario. I'll second that. Hacking can get you around a whole lot. In game terms I also like it because it gets more people involved in the infiltration effort instead of it just being the one person. For example the infiltrator could be taking point, the hacker would be backing them up and using their comlink to get withing signal range of things. The rigger could be around in a drone or something the infiltrator brings in and the mage could provide astral oversight. Though the whole team should have some capability with getting in. Especially since to work together the rest of the team needs to get past the ward or RF paint that are on most buildings that claim to be even a little secure. |

Hack the scanner to provide a false positive. If the scanner has no connection then use a tap.
