DD briefly glances over the results of her quick search. Nothing but a vague reference to UCAS & US Production Buildings and the production facility.

That will require more legwork, and more specific digging.

The Scientist's schedule has better results: 0700 to 1500 hours she is in the classroom. 1600 to 2359 she's at the production facility.

Maybe they'll snipe her on the way home...

DD delivers the data she got to the team network, then mulls the question over again. She's not too fond of wetwork, but as Jake said, it's part of shdaowrunning, and it would not be professional to drop the job for that. Besides, she'll not pull the trigger, just provide matrix cover.

Lights flash as a second LEBD-1 completes its' preflight check sequence. After a few seconds, the rotors begin to turn, and it lifts off, headed southwest, into the night.

Truth is slaving his second LEBD-1 to his commlink, via the matrix connection in his home, ordering the drone pilot to take off, activate its' chameleon coating, switch itself to Hidden Mode, then fly towards his current position at an altitude of 2km, avoiding terrain features and buildings as necessary. The drone's listed speed of 80 translates to 96kph, fast enough to make the trip from Snohomish to Downtown in under half an hour, since it's unimpeded by traffic.

<<I actually had a thought for getting to the island. We hire a smuggler, I'm sure between all of our contacts they can get us a smuggler in short order if the price is right. I think 4k is probably about right for one night's work, but I'll leave that to those with a bit more knowledge in such things. Since Dancing Eye's and I are both going to be on the data steal crew we can summon up some spirits to keep the boat magically hidden, and speed it up if neccessary. There shouldn't be anything alive that could catch a speed boat being sped up by Spirit.

<<Now, I'm not really skilled at binding spirits, but with a full 48 hours to complete the run I'm hoping that Dancing Eyes and Noowan could bind a spirit or two to send with us for some extra fire power if we need it, we are talikng the UCAS army after all, regardless of what the Johnson said. Having one or two spirits up our sleeves to call on without taxing ourselves could make things go a lot smoother.>>

DD nods. As she suspected, if the woman was any use to the Johnson alive, they'd have ordered her extraction. Just like in "Triple Cross".

DD continues to study the drake, out of curiosity mostly, while the other runners make their decisions. The sheer novelty of seeing a drake - even if he looks like a modelling human - has pushed her lingering uneasy feeling over wetwork aside.

"Do we want to do this tonight or tomorrow night? Waiting until tomorrow gives us the luxury of trickling onto the island on the ferries over the course of the day, then going to ground there, and coming home with the tourists on Saturday. On the downside, it means we have to account for what ever our lab rat likes to do in her free time after her brutal hours are over. If we go tonight, we hustle to get over to the island, but she's way more likely to be home in bed and easy to find since she's got a lecture on campus in the morning. Or we do this tomorrow evening, when she's already at the site, so that we don't have to split up. In twenty-two minutes and....9 seconds, I'll be on station to support both ends if we decide to go forward right now."
