<<All Chat>> <<You make a good point about not waiting, and I agree wth it, but we also need time to do some legwork first like getting a smuggler with one of those speed boats, and summoning some spirits now so that we have time to recover from the strain before the run. I think we should plan to do it in 24 hours so tonight at midnight, or a bit after to give her time to get back home. If we run into problems with the legwork we can just postpone it to tomorrow night.>> <<Noowan, as far as spirits, I was thinking we could use a bound water spirit. We'd use it to maintain concealment over the boat to make it really hard to pick up. Going in, we wouldn't need a spirit to speed the boat up, and on the way out, if its neccessary I can just summon a spirit, or use a spirit I've already summoned to boost the boats speed up. The reason we'd need a bound spirit to conceal the craft is that we'd want the craft concealed the entire time, not just while we are on the boat going to and from. I think an Earth Spirit or Fire spirit held in reserve as an ace up our sleeves wouldn't go amiss either.>> |

Winston had been quite up till now, having said his piece he left negotations to those who were better at thinking and talking then he. When it was clear negotiations were finished he voiced acceptance of the job and continued to listen to the team chatter. Finally, he decided it was time to contribute. <As the driver, I am far more comfortable with four people than five. I have a fast car- fast enough to outrun a Lonestar Pursuit car, but it only fits four comfortably. I can provide extra muscle on the hit if needed- I can kill a person at 50 meters with a paperclip.> |

Jake, Dancing Eyes, Tom, Ralp, Gecko, and I will head into the facility. Is that acceptable to everyone?">> |

That split sounds reasonable. I would prefer if the data-steal time were further sub-divided into an infiltration team and a support team. In an ideal world one person with appropriate Matrix and Spirit cover can penetrate the facility and do the job while the rest remain on standby in case the faeces strikes the rotating blades. |

<Coms (subvocal)> You all trust this Ochir with our money? We only just met 'im today... Splitting any expenses should be limited, it 's unfair to make everyone pay if one person 's trigger happy and needs to replace all 'is bullets. Without even glancing at Johnson Etoile answers "Yes, I 'm in." <Coms (subvocal)> A remote 'acker is fine. But this elf 's not in charge of the killing side. Not while 'e talks about 'is needs instead of our needs. |

With a casual little flick of her hand Etoile reaches down and taps at her commlink. <Gecko (subvocal)> I 'ad 'oped we could use a neutral banking service. Although that could be expensive. She taps at it again, flicking back to group chat. <Coms (subvocal)> That 's fine with me. |

DD nods. That sounds like a sensible plan to her - and staying on the boat sounds safer than taking a shot. Jake has listened carefully to what everyone has thrown in, he's learned better than to try to run the show with people who don't trust his skills yet.
He begins plotting out a mental checklist of what could get FUBAR... Spirits...Charlie? Mages...No clue... Drones...No clue... Mechs...No clue... Soldiers...No clue... Base Lockdown...No clue... IC? Shit. With DD helping the others, if she was going to give him backup, it'd be undependable. So he has to do the Matrix lifting alone. Fine...better than that team of 8 Awakened he did that job with. <<Okay, steal team, I need to know who's got what when this whole thing goes sideways and anally-fixated. I've seen jobs go smooth, but it's rare, and I'd like to know who I need to shout at to get certain problems solved with the quickness. So far, I can think of spirits, mages, drones, mechs, soldiers, the base locking us in, and nasty IC. And if you don't know what I mean by 'mechs'...>> Jake posts a video of a van-sized anthroform Mitsuhama killdrone he ran into on a Detroit run. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MrmUBrT2p4 |

<<Tom, I was hoping you'd be in on the data steal because we'll need the bigger guns there the stealthier the better. I think that with a bit of back up from DD and possibly Truth we can get the wet work down with only a 3 man team so we'd have 6 for the harder job. Once they are done on that side Truth and DD can shift over to backing the rest of us up. <<I have a sleep spell that can do for anyone but a mage and it works on an area, Spirits shouldn't be a problem either. Against spell casters I'd suggest a more physical approach, so either you, Tom, Ralph, or Gecko would need to just shoot them, preferably with some shot guns, or other big stuff. You'd have me and Dancing Eyes to do counterspelling on the 6 of us, more than adequate. I think between the two of us we should be able to deal with drones and mechs by spirits if not spells, though I'd prefer it if everyone were willing to contribute to it a bit. If we get locked in the base...I could throw all I have into summoning up a big old earth spirit to bust us out that'd pretty much laugh at anything they could throw at it, but it really is a last resort since it could put me in a bad way, a real bad way.>> |

<Coms (subvocal)> I do not mind leading the kill team, if no-one objects? We will need more details before we decide where we 'it 'er. 'ome would be best. It limits your steal window, but we can disguise it as a robbery. Etoile pauses, checking around for signs that someone objects. <Coms (subvocal)> If someone can find out 'er schedule and any implants she 'as it would help us. Also the layout of 'er office, home and if she owns a vehicle. I could also use a bigger gun, for if we run into the police, so if anyone could get one quickly it would be welcome. |

I would put a call out now though to Ochir or another fixer if you know any to give them every possible minute to look for one.>> <<I think that they might go on alert whenever she dies, but I definitely think your right that we should carry out both phases after she is home, that way we wont have to waste time trying to track her down at the facility like we would if she was still there. Etoile nods at Charlie, then begins typing out a message on her commlink. Her fingers move with remarkable speed and grace, far faster than could be managed with some kind of augmentation or spells. [ Spoiler ] <Coms (subvocal)> I shall ask around. I was going to suggest we drug 'er and finish 'er off when you're ready, but she could have a bioscanner of some kind. Which means a jammer might trigger alarms too. |

A small, night-sky black helicopter banks slightly to the left and dives a few feet as it continues its' flight through the Seattle skies. --Friday April 11th, 2070 at 0019 - Dante's Inferno, Seattle-- "Anything on how she commutes to the facility would help a lot as well. Hell, she should be leaving right around now. We've got her commcode, so unless anyone objects, I'd like to get going with tracking her right now. I've got a weapons platform inbound now that'll fly over her neighborhood in about ten minutes. Five minutes after that, it'll be flying low enough that I can give it new orders and start really snooping." |

<<Teamchat>> I agree it would be safer to capture her and hold on to her until the data-steal is done. DD would need to keep any trackers and bio-monitors spoofed until after the data team has successfully exfil-ed. As to relays I have that covered. I can string a discrete Laser relay system about 5 miles into the most secure areas no sweat. I also have tools for detecting a Telematics infrastructure that would let you neutralize it long before it would spot our comms. Skills? My personal best time for an undetected ascent of the Space Needle is one minute nine seconds and unassisted descent is 40 seconds dead. There is nowhere that is connected to the ground I can't get to if I've got a Hacker to open the locks for me. As to violence, I prefer not to kill anyone that doesn't need to be killed, but if I can reach it, it's dead, endof. I also pack a custom Ingram that is loaded with gel or capsule rounds with Narcoject or Pepper Punch for distance work. |

DD frowns a little. Kidnapping? And holding her, then killing her? That's cold - and complicated. Everyone knows kidnapped victims are likely to be saved... She doesn't really want to pass too much time watching a doomed woman, much less being so close to her to spoof the tags and beacons and commlinks. Team Chat Channel <<Far be it from me to oppose an exciting ploy that would garner a 'ip audience rating, but I think this time it would be better to get in position, then do the deed once the data steal is done. Kidnapping is too much of a risk, in my 'onest opinion, for too less gain.>> Why can't they just snipe her through the window, or blow her up, like in "New Age Golgo"? |
