ok, for some reason it changed when I selected and then unselected one of the Exceptional Attribute qualities. So I guess, never mind.

Technically the Fomori should not have 6 min 11 max as a racial limit, but instead have 5/10 like a troll, then have Metagenetic Improvement (Body) attribute, which then raises their body to min 6 max 11.
When I introduced metavarients to the spreadsheet I did not have a dynamic Quality list that could hide/show options based on legal availability to your character, and I did not have an awesome list of Sheet Affecting qualities on the Misc page that was driving calculations. Now that I do, I could go back and change it to work like the book. The only real problem with the current way that it works is that technically a Fomori could take the Metagenetic Improvement (Body) if they were surge and it would stack on the sheet. According to the rules they should already have that quality, so it should not be selectable. Thanks for pointing this out Thoarin. Edit: Fixed in version p. Also fixed error that let you select multiple "Exceptional" Attributes. |

Maybe a note by the German items? It would save me time searching for the less obviously German ones when I want full text. And agreed for the note on the Germain items, like "(gr)" or "(de)" or something. Would certainly be nice to know what won't show up in my books. All of the weapons could do with a Book/Page reference. Anyone wanna pony up and produce a list of all items w/ book/page #? On a side note for the next version, in the custom spells at the end of the list, having the range for the drain modifiers expanded to -3 to +7 can cover a greater range of possible custom spells possible. Good idea! Done in version p. I'm starting to enter characters from a campaign I started this last weekend, and for the first character I'm entering, I've noticed that the Character Sheet 3 does not list the characters rolled starting Nuyen while the first two sheets do. Also, unless its hiding on me somewhere on the character sheets that I'm not seeing, the Stealth Program and its rating is not listed. I'm working off slightly modified version of the Smuggler from pg. 108 SR4A. Yes, the third was showing 0. Changed them ALL to show 'Current Nuyen', or when it is 0, 'Nuyen Remaining'.Also, it seems Stealth, Track and ECCM were not displaying on the charsheets. Fixed in version p. Another thing I found odd: Under pets, there's no way to add bioware to your pets, though quite a bit of cyber is listed as possible. Given that Bioware is a very effective way of improving your pets, (especially Chimeric pets, which per RW28 don't have to pay essence to get bioware), missing it hurts a lot. Added all bioware to the Selectable Pets Wares list. Working on coding the essence logic. Related Feature Request: Under Ally Spirit, if you pick the Inhabitation form, it'd be nice to be able to pull up either a pet or one of the constructs from SM, so you can have your spirit's physical stats easily accessible on the same page as its skills/powers. At the bottom of the Ally Spirit page is a section for 'Vessel'. Fill out the spirits Physical Attributes here, and any abilities related to the form can be added to the Vessel Notes section.Unrelated feature request: When selecting something such as Improved Skill adept power, reflex recorder, etc, a secondary box opening up that you can choose the skill it affects. When you select the Adept power 'Improved Active Skill [Skill]', the text in the Square Brackets[] can be replaced with whatever custom text you like, without breaking the formulas. So you would select 'Improved Active Skill [Skill]' then change it to say 'Improved Active Skill [Unarmed Combat]' for example. The reflex recorder is the only ware to require custom text as far as I can tell, so it may be awhile before I spend the time coding the custom text option for it.For now I suggest you note this in your skills section. Under you Unarmed Combat (or whatever skill you have a reflex recorder for) simply put in a skill that says 'Reflex Recorder (Unarmed Combat) +1' or perhaps 'Unarmed +1 (ReflexRecorder)'. That will put the note in a good place on your printable sheet, and leaving the skill at 0 will allow you to not have any extra karma/BP cost. |

How hard would it be to implement software bundles? Or cyberware suites, for that matter?

Cyberware suites are already implemented. On the Cyberware_Bioware sheet there's a freeform column titled "Suite" between Grade & Avail. On the Cyberparts sheet, there's a similar column just to the right of the Attributes/Armor table. You can fill in the boxes with the name of the installed suite, or just peg it with an "X" or whatever.
I'm not that familiar with software bundles at the moment, but first impression is that something similar could be done. |

Bobba, let me know if you need any more explanation of how to use Cyberware suites on the sheet, or if perhaps there is a way I could make it easier to notice or improve cell comments that explain how to use it. I am not sure if I have posted anything mentioning it, but version P now has Common Use Program Suites built in. Are there more software bundles I need to include? Please point me to a book/page and I will look into it. |

Love the spreadsheet, absolutely best chargen setup I've seen yet! Thanks for it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
That said, here is a quick bug report as I did find a problem in the spells list in the latest 'p' version as well as a couple simple formatting issues: BUG 1: "Magic Sheet", "Spells_Selected" cell: Current Contents: =CONCATENATE(I4;I5;I6;I7;I10;I11;I12;I13;I14;I15;I16;I17;I18;I19;I20;I21;I22;I23 ) Corrected Contents: =CONCATENATE(I4;I5;I6;I7;I8;I9;I10;I11;I12;I13;I14;I15;I16;I17;I18;I19;I20;I21;I 22;I23) Effect: The mystery of the missing spells in the CS is solved. It was old man Jenkins the whole time. BUG 2: AB152-154,AC152-154 Style Issue: Remove 'in between' borders. Bug 3: H178-183 Style Issue: Add 'right' border. |

Additional information: I use OpenOffice 3.3.0.
Bug: CS selection option boxes do not have any effect, print only prints the script decided 'proper' CS for your character. Workaround: While in CharacterSheet tab, go to the coordinate dropdown box, select 'CharacterSheet#' (# being 1-6) to highlight the desired CS. File->Print. Print 'selected cells'. I have not gone in and tried to find out the plumbing on this one, but thought I best report it anyways. |

Bug 2 & 3: What page are you referring to? The H178-183 range makes me think you mean one of the printable character sheets, but I do not see an issue in the sheet. Are you using Open Office to view this? I went and redid some of the borders on the charsheet, maybe that will fix the issue? Additional information: I use OpenOffice 3.3.0. Bug: CS selection option boxes do not have any effect, print only prints the script decided 'proper' CS for your character. I have not gone in and tried to find out the plumbing on this one, but thought I best report it anyways. That is because those option buttons trigger macros, which were written in Excel 2003 vba, and are not compatible with Open Office's 'OOBasic' macro language. This is why I removed most of the macros from the sheet: They are not compatible across different spreadsheet programs. Anyone not using Excel can simply select the area you want to print and 'Print Selection'. |

I am indeed using OpenOffice 3.3.0.
Bug 2/3 was indeed the CS sheet style. I do not have Excel to compare with, but in OpenOffice the borders were missing in those places. Easily fixed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Just passing it along, but the group I introduced the sheet to has fallen in love with it. Thanks again! |

An idea for a feature sometime in the future: A sourcebook checklist. I know it would be a lot of work, but if you get really bored and feel like working on something insanely complex, this would certainly fit the bill ^_^
It would be very handy for people in groups where certain books are banned. Alternatively, updating all the book and page number citations to be accurate, and possibly adding them on sheets where they currently aren't (IIRC the hacking tab doesn't have them, for example). |

The second option seems more likely. I don't mind updating the sheet to show Book/Page reference numbers, but I do not want to dig through .pdfs and do data entry to put all of the reference #'s into the spreadsheets data pages. Anyone can post or PM me a file with a list of book/page #s for programs and I will make it happen in the sheet. If you want me to update references for existing data, pull a list of the items from data pages in the sheet then add book/page to it. |

If you pick up a negative quality after character creation, how to you note that it's not worth Build points?
How do you do a Latent Technomancer? Do I need to drop the Latent Technomancer quality from the listed qualities and then set the special to Technomancer once the Techomancer abilities are accessible? If I leave the Latent Technomancer quality in the list of qualities and change the Special to Technomancer it increases the Qualities BP by 5. Not having the Special set to Technomancer has an affect on the Technomancer sheet. How do you denote the 3 free complex forms at rating 1? If you have the quality Genetic Heritage how to do specify which genetech is the one associated with this quality? How do you enter a custom comlink? One built by the character, not one bought off the shelf and upgraded? |

I've been meaning to go through the gear section in its entirety. With book and page numbers now, that should help make it a bit easier.
For instance, Under Ammo - Mortar rounds, the Seeker entry should be gone and the White Phosphorous round should be avail 20 instead of avail 12. There's... just... so... much.. stuff. |

I would leave Latent Dracomorphosis. For Free Complex forms, could you provide a book/page #? I have never played a Technomancer and dont know much about them. For the nuyen cost of a transgenetic enhancement from Genetic Heritage, you need to go to your Karma_Log page, and make an entry: Reason: Genetic Heritage, Nuyen: [add cost of selected enhancement here] Somehow the BP/Karma total retained some CLout references in the latest version. I have replaced all links with version p_fix |

Regarding the free complex forms thing, it's in the "Latent Technomancer" quality entry in Unwired, page 37, 4th paragraph of the quality:
QUOTE When the ability manifests, the gamemaster also chooses three Complex Forms that the character gains for free at Rating 1. Honestly, if using the BP system it's as easy as selecting the three complex forms and assigning them a rating of 1 in the BP column. For karmagen, just make a suitable entry in the Karma_Log for 6 karma points. |

You can find the rules for the free complex forms in Unwired on page 37 under Latent Technomancer. It's in the second to last paragraph.

I'm pretty sure technomancer and latent drake are incompatible (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wobble.gif) Yeah, they are. Can't take a quality that grants a Resonance attribute when you've also got one that grants a Magic attribute, and vice versa. This goes the same for those that give you one or the other after character creation, either. But I think DK mentioned Latent Dracomorphosis as it works a bit differently in the character sheet. Being a latent TM and taking the TM quality are the same BP cost, but Latent Dracomorphosis and actually being a Drake have different BP costs. There's a toggle box to select if you express as a Drake after character creation so it sucks up the relevant amount of karma to make up for it, and probably why DK suggested to leave it alone. |
