Couple things,
When selecting a mage the 15 bp's are being counted towards the positive edge qualities limit. Is that right? Also, under gear when selecting items with ranks the ranks are not transfering to the printable character sheet. |

When selecting a mage the 15 bp's are being counted towards the positive edge qualities limit. Is that right? Yep. This is really important too, because it adds alot of balance to the game. Also, under gear when selecting items with ranks the ranks are not transfering to the printable character sheet. Good catch. Ill add this to my list of things to fix in 9c.

Many thanks for this project.
If a GM is working on a NPC, is there any way to bypass the edits? Also for an on going campaign, some room for extra quantities would be nice. Same goes for options on a cyberlimb. Keep up the good work. |

Virtual Personality is missing from negative qualities (Unwired pg 38) and Drone Rack is missing as a standard modification on the Vehicle Sheet (pg 135 Arsenal).

Three issues with gear/weapons I just came across. Only the first is a serious issue.
1) There's no way to specify accessories for weapons in any way linked to those weapons. You can do modifications on the weapon page, or buy accessories on the gear screen, but no way to specify which accessories go with which (and which of the top/barrel/underbarrel slots it takes up) 2) As a consequence of #1, if you select "Smartgun, internal" from the gear page, the cost box errors. 3) The recoil box for weapons displays it as (2)1 rather than the book's 1(2). This may be deliberate, but it's odd-looking. |

Version 9b:
I don't know if this is because I had to disable macros because I am using Excel 2000 SP3, but there are #REF! errors in the formulas on tab CharSheet in cells P8 and P77. The cells should probably look like this: CODE P8: =D8+Cyberware_Bioware!$M$33+IF(ISERROR(MATCH("Toughness",Main_Sheet!$W$36:$W$42,0)),0,1)&" + Armor" P77: =D77+Cyberware_Bioware!$M$33+IF(ISERROR(MATCH("Toughness",Main_Sheet!$W$36:$W$42,0)),0,1)&" + Armor" Likewise, the neighboring cells in T8 and T77 also have broken #REF! formulas: CODE T8: =CONCATENATE("Body (",D8,") + Cyber/Bio (",Cyberware_Bioware!M33,")"," + Dmg.Rst. (",MIN(Cyberware_Bioware!M88,U3-T3)+IF(ISERROR(MATCH("Toughness",Main_Sheet!$W$36:$W$42,0)),0,1),")") T77: =CONCATENATE("Body (",D77,") + Cyber/Bio (",Cyberware_Bioware!M33,")"," + Dmg.Rst. (",MIN(Cyberware_Bioware!M33,U72-T72)+IF(ISERROR(MATCH("Toughness",Main_Sheet!$W$36:$W$42,0)),0,1),")") btw: DamienKnight, thanks for taking Blakkie's and Autarkis' "pretty kewl" sheet and making it AWESOME! |

Those are present under 2003 SP2, too.
Delivery state, Charsheet P7, viewed with my Excel: =D8+Cyberware_Bioware!$M$33+IF(IFERROR(MATCH("Toughness";Main_Sheet!#REF!;0));0;1)&" + Armor" Result: IFERROR catches the #REF and returns error, always, and IF returns 0. Most people won´t notice, because Toughness is not a common favourite. Manually corrected to =D8+Cyberware_Bioware!$M$33+IF(IFERROR(MATCH("Toughness";Main_Sheet!W35:W49;0));0;1)&" + Armor" it works as intended, because the constant #REF error is gone. |

Many thanks for this project. If a GM is working on a NPC, is there any way to bypass the edits? Also for an on going campaign, some room for extra quantities would be nice. Same goes for options on a cyberlimb. Keep up the good work. You are welcome, and thank you for the suggestions. I will be adding quantities to gear in version 9c. Please elaborate on your question about bypassing the edits. Unsure if this has been asked previously, but is there a way to inject extra cash at character creation? I'm trying to to a character rebuild with this new generator The easiest way would be to increase your BP/karma allotment, and spend those points on ressources. Or just ignore the errors (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Not bad advice. Also, there is a field called 'Current Nuyen' on the Main Sheet which can be used to override the Nuyen Remaining field. After character creation is finished, try using the Current to override and track Nuyen yourself. I will mod 9c so that whenever there is a value in the 'Current' field, the remaining field will be hidden.Three issues with gear/weapons I just came across. Only the first is a serious issue. Smartlink via the Gear sheet is intended for purchasing the part separate from the weapon. Once it has been added to the weapon, the weapon should be moved to the Custom weapons area and the smartlink mod should be added1) There's no way to specify accessories for weapons in any way linked to those weapons. This may be deliberate, but it's odd-looking. the custom weapons screen needs more modifercation slots due to overmoding or the - slot mods you can have as i have run out of slots with only 4 slots actuality used up More slots is a good idea, I will look into it.Those are present under 2003 SP2, too. I believe this issue is addressed in 9c, as I am not seeing it on the 9c Charsheet.Delivery state, Charsheet P7, viewed with my Excel: =D8+Cyberware_Bioware!$M$33+IF(IFERROR(MATCH("Toughness";Main_Sheet!#REF!;0));0;1)&" + Armor" Result: IFERROR catches the #REF and returns error, always, and IF returns 0. In 9c I modified the Qualities_Data sheet so that there is a disable quality column. If the value in that column evaluates to true, the quality will not be displayed in the dropdown list on the Main Sheet. The sheet already hides qualities based on Infection/Metagenetic status. In the new column I put in formulas for both Thermographic Vision and Mentor Spirit. These are examples. I could use assistance identifying qualities with special conditions. If you notice a quality showing up in your dropdown that shouldnt be (ie, it is meant for mages only, and you are not a mage, or it is meant for Technomancers only and you are anot a technomancer, etc) then please post the name of the quality, and what conditions make the quality invalid. |

All right lets try to get attention again:
9a was working perfectly with OO 3.0 9b and 9c crash as soon as I click on any drop down menu (exemple I click on human to change to elf, click on elf, the program freeze and bang crash) Macro is disabled. something was changed from 9a to 9b that Open Office doesnt like. Is there a way to fix this please? |

The issue persists in 9c/ 2003 SP2. If you want help finding the cause, I would need to see your original cell content, as I´m currently afraid that my Excel is holding some secrets from me. The positive, non-metagenetic, non-infected qualities: [ Spoiler ]

I just had a quick glance at Beta 9b, as with Beta 8 i still get a VB Runtime-Error 1004 something like "Unable to set the color property of the interior object" the exact message is: "Die Color-Eigenschaft des Interior-Objektes kann nicht festgelegt werden". I Use MS Office 97. Probably due to this error the checkboxes for the optional rules are missing, up to Beta 7 they worked. As with all versions i tested, setting the priting field in CharSheet does not work. Same error code different text. I have to do it manually. Thanks for all the work you put into the sheet, DamienKnight. Keep it up. That's the same error I'm getting with Office 2000. In my case, that error creates a green column of boxes that either say True or False where the toggles for the optional rules ought to be. The checkbox for the optional rules isn't gone; for some reason, it's all the way at the extreme right end of the sheet. Move your scroll bar all the way to the right and you should find it. It still seems to work just fine for me. I've been playing with the gear section, and I noticed that in the B&E gear section, the Maglock Passkey, the Keycard Copier, and the Sequencer aren't available with adjustable ratings. Per page 327 of the BBB, they're available in rating 1-6. The Keycard copier has a flat availability of 8 and a cost of (rating x300), the passkey has an availability of (rating x3) and a cost of (rating x2000), and the sequencer has a availability of (rating x3) and a cost of (rating x200). Macros should be more compatible now, as I have removed all data entry macros. The optional rules check boxes are linked to the green true/false cells on the main page. If macros are disabled, the check boxes wont work and the green cells must be altered manually. If macros are enabled and working, they will hide the green cells and move the options control boxes over the area where the green cells appeared. My recommendation is, if you have any trouble at all with macros, disable them and use the green true/false cells as switches instead. This is what all Open Office users must do, and because of the differences between 97, 2000, 2003 sp2, 2003 sp3, 2007... some excel users may need to disable macros. |

Is there a way to fix this please? This is a huge issue, and I am sorry that 9c did not fix it. In order to determine what is causing the issue, I have created two test versions of the spreadsheet. If someone with Open Office could try both sheets (with macros disabled) and report back the results, it would be very helpful to me. Test 1 (removed shapes, control boxes, all macros) Edit: Still crashes OO on dropdown list Test 2 (removed attribute formulas and attribute sheet) Edit: Still crashes OO on dropdown list |

I downloaded both test sheets and opened them in OpenOffice 3. Both test versions are still crashing when you click on a dropdown menu.

Test 3
http://www.mediafire.com/?xjne9exu4xj Using OO 3, the only failing dropdown I noticed was the Special selection (Magic_Type). Its validation was pointing to the named range 'Magic'. I changed the range name to Magic_Type_List to conform with my Naming schema, and to remove the conflict with the Magic page. This fixed the problem for me. Please examine this version and let me know if it is still crashing in OO for anyone. I recommend updating if you are using an old version. |

tested!
I dint even get to click a drop down it crashed right after it said for security reason... macro are disabled. then another window pop up wich ask : This file contains link to other files, should they be updated? y/n. say yes goto crash say no and... well its working. I am trying a charater. will update if I get another crash. Edit: okay I opened twice, did lots of drop down choice and it did not crash. This version seems stable if you dont update link to external file... Anybody know why it does that? The other version crash on yes and no... Thanks for looking into it. |
