Found another glitch in the vehicle page. The first vehicle calculates the speeds correctly for the engine customizations, turbocharger, and smart & racing tires, but at least the second one does not (and maybe the rest; haven't tested yet).

Also, thanks for the assist Sengir. Who better to answer an infection question than a vampire?

Prerevisionist vampire, that sucks for rules questions (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

So here are a few things I stubled upon while playing around with the character concepts (which is a nice pasttime thanks to your efforts):
- [bug] The first drone has an Adaptability 4 Autosoft, that number does not even come from a formula but you somehow left a 4 in that cell
- [feature] an extra column to define the base values of drone autosofts would be nice, at least until those values are included for each drone
- [feature] Living Persona values on the charsheet
- [feature] Cyberparts as part of cyber suites
- [bug] The preset descriptions for vehicles are doubled, or is this because I'm stuck with OO right now?
- [both?] Selecting Spell/Spirit Knack in the "special" box does not cost BP. Selecting it as a quality costs BP but does not grant a magic attribute. I suggest moving everything that grants Magic/Resonance to the special selection and only there. That would also include Latent Awakening/Emergence and Wild TM, which are currently missing in that list.

One of the issues I encountered was when using shapeshifters. Small ones, but still. On the CharSheet, the severity of the Allergy(Silver) is not listed. Severe, obviously, but still. When selecting a shapeshifter, you can develop the magic attribute as you wish[RAW], but unless you have selected a magical quality on your program, the magic attribute disappears. [I'm sure it's not a big deal for most players, considering they will usually choose to have the magical quality anyways, but still...]. Also, when choosing a shapeshifter, selecting "Technomancer" won't give you the yellow box of doom. Seems the setup is reading it as a compatible combination.

Heh, sorry. Thanks for this great program. IMO, it's better than Deagann's CharGenSR4 program.

*edit* Also noticed the description of Critical Strike changes based upon how many levels. I.E. 1 level, +1DV per level; 2 levels, +2DV per level; etc... Not sure if this escaped notice or not.

Downloaded version......."SR4CG_DK_1d" and making a human featered drake (and doing nothing else) results in a circular reference. I don't understand the sheet well enough to know why.

Oh, wait, no, I found it.

This bit:

Tail Venom Rtg "&Main_Sheet!$R$12,br,"

in the Feather'd Drake's race data.

Magic rating is based on being a drake, being a drake has a power based on magic rating and the sheet interprets it as circular because of the way you have the cells set up to read the data.

Maglock Passkey, Keycard Copier, and sequencer, which are all rating (1-6) objects have a datafield "max rating" of 1. This produces a warning when attempting to buy a rating 2+ of any of these devices.

Just a quick word: I have started a wave (as in, Google Wave) about the documentation. It seems a nice way to work on this.

Found some more.
The Prepackaged Nexi have no cost. Editing the relevant data by hand it appears that MPSs, ARE Software, Matrix Program Packages, PAB Units, Parachutes, Passkeys, Security Equipment, Skilldoft Clusters, Nanotech, and some other scattered items don't either (except hacker nanites).
Customized Interface also has a cost 0 (should be 250).

Sorry, I don't think it works this way. You need to register to Google Wave, then you can give me your contact so I can add you to the wave. If anyone needs and Invite, send me a PM, I have 8 invites left. Please refer to the Google Wave thread in the Community Projects section.

If you're looking for the most up to date Excel file character generator, best is to look for any post by DamienKnight (or even in his profile). He keeps an updated link in his signature.

I have a wave account. Draco18s@

(Which once again highlights for me how dumb the ability to find new waves is: someone in the wave has to add you to their contacts list,* then manually add you to the wave)

*Which isn't even done through google wave, but gmail.

On the topic of the sheet, I ran into another error.

When attempting to buy spell design formulas, the "gear category" macro field shows "fetish" not "spell formula," so the cost is wrong and the user entered category and items are WARN-ed. This has to do with the fetish: [type] and spell formula: [type] entries being identical, so the lookup function grabs the first one.

Instruction costs for spell designs should not have a max rating 1. They do have a rating modifier, which is based on the instruction skill of the instructor (1000*Instructor's Skill Rating).

It's entirely possible to create a link to a wave and have the wave be public - I've found at least one wave that way. I *think* you need to add "public@a.gwave.com" as a contact to the wave (even if it says it's not a valid contact).

I added you, draco18s, to the wave, and also the bot.
As I said, I thought linking was not possible, I'm sorry I was wrong, but I still haven't found a way to link a wave.
Anyway, last post on how to use waves in this thread, please comment the wave itself if you want.
Sorry again.

For shits and giggles I wonder if that works.

It should navigate to the wave, though I suspect you'll need a gwave account to see it (and if its not public you won't see it even then, but that wave should be). URL nabbled by adding the wave to another wave then copying the link's URL via right click.

This need a fix:

Attunement (Animal), the adept metamagic calls for an additional investment of karma that depends on the essense of the animal attuned to. Typically 6, i would assume. It would be neat if attunement opened an additional column that allowed a variable karma amount for the essence of the attuned creature.

Thanks for all your hard work in this DK!

AI Qualities not implemented. The Rating should be an average and should not take BPs.

--- Edit ---
@otakusensei : It opens a wave that you have to follow . Else it goes back into limbo !

Seeing as there is a reasonable work around (manually entering the karma cost on the Karma page) this is an upgrade. I will look into including it in version f.

Good point. It seems the max was going off the calculated average (though it was rounding up only in the presentation, not in the data itself). This is fixed now in version 1e.

Unless I'm blind the two stock flamethrowers (Aztechnology F3A, Shiawase Blazer)are missing on the weapons page. There is only the template, which is the blazer IIRC.

The Geas quality is listed as sr4 with no page number; the correct citation is SM 27 or SM 27-28.

Missing the spells from the Digital Grimoire.

You are correct, it does not have the price. It IS in the Arsenal book. Description page 64, listing at the bottom of page 67.

Fixed Geas. Digital Grimoire Phys ad powers are present, but spells not added yet. Maybe in version f.

Not true. 1D has a cost of 1.5, 2.5, 4 and it has been that way for several versions.

Sorry started typing before your edit.

Did I do something wrong or do armor enhancements not add to the cost of the item?

I just found out that this is only the case for enhancements without different ratings and if you add a 1 in the rating cell the cost is calculated.
