Hello, just thought I'd throw this in with the rest. I live near Waukegan, on the far northeast part of the state. That also places us dangerously close to Wisconsin. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/spin.gif) A friend and I are looking to either join a group or get some players to start a new group. We have stuff for both SR3 and SR4, and I don't really care which way we go with that.
If interested or looking to recruit, please post here or pm me. We're both in our 30s, have played Shadowrun since 1st edition though not recently unless you count GenCon, and we have our own transportation. Evenings are best as we both work rotating schedules (days off change every two weeks). I'm willing to drive a decent distance, though not excessively so (anything over an hour's drive would have to be considered), and we have all of our own stuff. We're both into miniatures as well, so if your group is looking for custom figs, you might benefit from us being in your group as well. =) |

Ok now that Ramjin and I have met, along with his friend. I would like to put out an invite to any in the Chicago Area interested in join us for a Shadow run game (Campaign style). We will be starting in a couple of weeks and will be playing at Mt. Prospect (games Plus) which is centrally located to all of us. Our games will be on a 2 per month type schedule. We have not finallized the actual days we will be playing yet, but most of us are pretty flexible. Anyone interested please contact myself or Remjin with your contact information. We currently have 2 players, and 1 gm (Remjin), and would like to have 1 or 2 more players if at all possible.
Thanks guys (oh and gals if there are any that play) Duke |

We'll see, haven't been directly contacted yet, as he's just recently moved here. =) |

I might have one more player for you if you want me to drop him a line. A friend of mine just graduated down her in Urbana-Champaign and he moved up to Chicago land somewhere. If you've already spoken to "klinktastic," then you can disregard this message (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I believe I have it set up so that you can email me, but if not, a pm is fine. I want to avoid posting it here in case of spammers. =) |

I'm in the west burbs near where I-294 and I-55 meet, and currently run a Sunday 3pm-10pm SR4 game. We are looking for people who can make weekly games 75% of the time, have 4 core players and 2 others who are iffy and would like to increase the core people who can show up.
Barring finding new players, let me know what day/time the Mt. Prospect game meets, as I would *love* the chance to play more often, as I've GM'd mostly since SR was released 20 years ago, hehe. Arashi |

So you're near Burr Ridge? That's probably at least an hour and half drive, assuming good traffic, and my work schedule says the earliest I can get there reliably would be 6pm if I just left from work. Darn. We're going to be playing every other Friday at Games Plus, starting at 7pm until 10 or 11. Most of us are new to the game or at least this rendition of it, so its a little floppy on rules at the moment, but I think we'll dial in relatively quickly. I have three people who have only played D&D before and another guy like me that hasn't played SR in years but played it from back in 1st edition. If you're interested, join our Yahoo group, Shadowrunners2071. There's a lot of information there as far as the general feel of the game with more to come as I find time. A warning, we're not playing to the normal script but its not way off, either. It would be nice to have a more experienced hand in the game. I haven't even run a game in years, and the other group I hang out with always plays Hero (my other favorite game). I gotta knock the dust off my GM's hat. =) The last big game of Shadowrun I ran lasted nearly three years, so I'm hoping this can be somewhere in that ball-park as far as enthusiasm for the game. |

Yea Chum, N IL area here, I got a pretty big and diverse table top group and I'm starting a new SR game. 2 of them actually, one in tabletop and another online to be played over a variety of mediums. But the deal is, I need trix runners, I got everything else. I got good stuff going on for trix people too, not just data retrieval and opening doors. I actually got a big story that takes place in the trix. So add me to yim lizard4206988@yahoo.com and we can start talkin about how to work you guys in.

Assuming I understand what you're talking about, you're asking for online players only at this point, is that it? I've already got a tabletop game going and its about all I can handle at this point between three separate games/groups, but an online game might be fun. Or are you asking for hacker type PCs? |
