Basically, I love NSRCG, but I was thinking of doing a text based C/C++ or Java program so I could easily throw together some gang members or low level corporate security or something. Of course, that's if my computer science workload backs off a bit this year, but what do you guys think? Or would I be wasting my time?

It could also double as a quick start character generator for regular old bad guys who just use guns. I was only going to pull pretty much material out of the core SR3 rulebook, and maybe a few select guns and cyberware pieces from cannon companion and man and machine.

It sounds like a good idea. What kind of parameters would a user input to generate an npc?

Use perl...

I have something half written (well, several somethings), but mostly just need to get the database built.
