We could even use the target's SIN to rent the Van and then it's presence on his property will not raise any eyebrows until after the fact. Do you think we could have it delivered or have one of the Orcs pick it up in disguise? My god, man, I like the way you think. Creative problem solving at its best. |

My first thought was let's not connect the van to site of the disappearance of a major crime figure.
But then I realized that it would be only while we were there. Still once they start looking for him, won't they start looking for any vehicle registered to him in the area at the time of his disappearance? No one will physically see/record the van being there. Only what we decide the van will look/broadcast as. We need to be careful to not leave tire prints. We need to figure out how to spoof the van tags and to erase where it has been. Certainly we want to cover up the tags with some fake tags in case I have to drop the spell. Also we need to find an ID and an appearance for the van that won't attract attention in that location. Then another ID to use in transit. Then another ID to use around here for delivery. Finally one for garabage disposal. Can we check and see if the the rental agency doesn't have any special ways to track the van. It being "rented" should prevent them from looking for it, but I also don't want them to be able to pull the dog brain and being able to tell where it has been. Can we do that above with the runners present? How long would it take? How much? And I agree lets get moving. |

How certain are we that the node DD is in isn't a honeypot or smokescreen?
I'm still worried that this is some sort of set up. Which gets me back to the snooping I said I was doing.. I tried to finish this on Saturday but didn't have time before I went to work. Did all the rolls but didn't post them. [ Spoiler ]

BTW when I said leave a trail that points in the direction of the Triad, I wasn't talking about trying to framing the Triad. If you fake evidence to frame someone it can be discredited and they start looking for who planted the evidence. I just wanted what evidence they find to not rule out who ever would have best means and most motive to do this. Just suggestions never anything concrete.
Can we agree everyone going in is physically masked (both magically and physically)? No fingerprints, no DNA, and we have the means to remove any that might be left? Also we take nothing that can be traced back to him and any thing we do take we make very sure we dispose of in a totally anonymous method. Easy will try to cast all the spells before hand and not in the van so that there are not astral fingerprints. Also the target doesn't get any information on who we are. I don't care how dead he's going to be when this is done, what his spirit doesn't know, it can not reveal. I mean we are talking big leagues here. Then again being new I don't know what level of paranoia the GM considers only reasonable and prudent for an experienced runner and what level is just dragging everything down to a crawl. I will suggest just in case it is a trap we have an outer perimeter team and a backup team ready to go, if the inital stealth team can't take him down quietly. We come up with a professional plan with the resources available considering that we were formed ad hoc but have plenty of talent and go. |

If we're going to use physical mask we could just use the Everglades. I'll tape over the plates in case anyone penetrates the Mask and spoof it's node so it can't be traced.
We could disguise it as a Street-sweeper/Gulley cleaner while it's in the area and then disappear down an off-ramp into the water. Hell I bet we could find somewhere in the flooded part of Downtown to 'question' him without being disturbed. edit - I've plenty of C-squared to deal with any forensic evidence... |

KISS it is.
You can always get new tires after this anyway. If we're going to use physical mask we could just use the Everglades. Now you guys are getting moving. And to be blunt, this isn't the big show, kids. It's just the foreplay.

Mia has been trying to get camera views of the house which aren't hooked into his security system, but I'm still waiting on Jake to actually say if she found any or not. |

After a while, you find a public site that ties into the neighborhood watch network there, and you have it.

Baring computer failure or other acts of god, I should be online most of the night. However I will be busy so while I will maintain a good post rate, they will unfortunately be more functional then aesthetic.

Call it a short drive from the target, somewhere public but not especially crowded. Like a park or something?

Summoning a Spirit.
That brings up a question I wanted to ask the group. Rather late to be considering it, but I had toyed with the idea that Easy was using a form of voodoo. I've never played a possession based summoner so I have no idea what it would be like. And since I might have to run one as a GM, anyone have any advise on playing one? Or it might be better to stay with what you know. |

Can we insert a Spirit with Concealment before the Spells?
I don't really need Invisibility or Silence if I've got Concealment on my side also. Dancer is probably in a similar position. With both Concealment and Invisibility the non-sneakers ought to be just as difficult to spot as the rest of us. Concealment also has the huge advantage of being Multi-Sensory. |

This was a question who's answer would be useful to be known across the table, so here it is.
QUOTE QUOTE Is the Divine Comedy the sort of place where a hotel concierge can get someone onto the guest list to that they don't have to wait in the line? I'm assuming there's no way someone Jake doesn't know is going to be on the "walk around the metal detectors" list, but Vice is the sort of guy who'll try to pull a few strings to avoid the indignity of standing on the sidewalk behind the velvet rope with all the wage slaves. No concierge, no. The best one can hope for is what Dancer got, being waved past the line and into the scanner. NO ONE skips the scanner. But, for friends, they get alot more trust for what they can bring in, and afterwards, if they behave and keep that trust, the records get...doctored later. |

Heh. Still not moving fast enough? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I'm already having trouble keeping up (and I'm just reading casually at this point). Felice will visit the club at a later point, right now it's a bit much for me (so many other obligations). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Bye Thanee |
