For the first, If you count off four dice from one side of the line, I get 4 hits (if taken off the end) or five hits (if taken off the front). Either should do for hearing you.
For the second test, either ways its 4 hits. Last test is 6 hits, either way |

Your forgetting that this is an opposed test and that the Threshold to overhear subvocal speech is 4.
You fail to overhear Gecko and don't make the subsequent Observe in Detail checks. |

One more warning. Rationality and friendly gameplay. I don't care about dicepools. Decide it player-to-player, and move on.

Doesn't really matter at this point. Out of pure curiousity though, I thought the -4 to the test was to compensate for how quiet you were being. Why the -4DP and the threashold of 4?
Hey Jake, there are a few things I want to do after parting with Portia, and in the morning before 1:30 (Celeste sleeps lightly). Mostly minor things. Find a Jazz dealer, buy some Oxygenated Flourocarbs and have them put in, and a few other odds and ends. How would you want to handle such things? Are you online with Yahoo right now? (I am in Ubuntu again and don't want to restart my computer only to find you offline). |

Out of pure curiousity though, I thought the -4 to the test was to compensate for how quiet you were being. Why the -4DP and the threashold of 4? I'm spit-balling a -4 for Observer Distracted and not immediate vicinity. There's also background noise to take into consideration, an alley next to a nightclub gets pretty noisy, I don't know how busy the main street is but I imagine it's far from quiet. Perception tests have different Thresholds depending on the Magnitude of the event. Subvocal speech is listed as 4. You'd also have to overcome the 4 Hits Gecko gets to not be overheard from infiltration. In summary, it would require 8 hits with at least a -4 penalty to your dice pool. |

Rather than step on any more toes, I'll ask before I post.
Seems everyone went from full-on Tactical mode to nine-sheets-to-the-wind, party like it's 1999 mode in about five seconds flat last night. Nobody officially mentioned bringing down the TacNet or the CreepHunt server. Pura, at least, seems to have left her Simrig on all night. So what might a patient observer have 'overheard'? Anything that wasn't disconnected from the TacNet or CreepHunt server or that didn't have it's wireless turned completely off is fair game for a high-tech Voyeur like Gecko. |

Well, Jake certainly wasn't broadcasting his eye and ear feeds...though, Pura's call as to whether she logged her simfeed out of the tacnet.

DD's simrig is running 24/7, unless specifically stated to be turned off, but she's not broadcasting that 24/7. I assume that once the run is over, tacnet's taken down anyway, and standard privacy protocols are in effect without stating so.

TacNet is still up and running. You can re-subscribe to it at any point through the CreepHunt server.
Gecko hasn't left. If you boot the TacSoft and check he's still creeping around the building keeping lookout. |

At noon the next day ("Loft" thread)? Or is that in the timeframe of the general thread, which saw the street scene with Portia/Celeste/Gecko?

Both.
He'll have napped on and off but this ain't over by a long shot. We just whacked a major crime figure, there's still money to be divvied up and the data on the Cyberdeck to be discussed. |

Just because Pura had the simrig on doesn't mean she was broadcasting to the Tacnet. She turned ooff the Tacnet after the questioning was done, but before she went up stairs to take a shower since she wouldn't want everyone getting a peek if she looked in the mirror.

Dancer would o' forgot... but he wasn't doing a whole lot of anything besides cursing and trying to make that Analyze program work... oh, you would have also gotten to see the ever-so-attractive sight of... well... umm... huh. alcohol being spilled? Once he got into the apartment and settled in, however, he would have gotten comfortable, so everything that wasn't clothes or trode net would have been taken off and tossed into a corner, then covered with his coat. Sorry Gecko. No naughty Loft sights for you! Well, at least, none from Dancer.

FYI, Sorry Easy has been so quiet.
I've been very busy with RL. The AC went out last weekend. It was also in the mid 80 in Dallas Texas last weekend! In November! I was sick for the last half of the week. And my 3 year old had an emergency partial root canal Monday (came through like a trooper). Oh and the toaster oven went out. Any way I'm back. |

Not exactly happy with the threading tools on here, since I have no mod functions...can't delete redundant double posts or move things into the right threads.
That being said, Vice and DD's convo should be in main thread, not Loft. |

Okay, I think we're all basically in our mid-day, mid afternoon grooves...give me a heads' up when you all want to get to that evening.
