QUOTE (Doctor Funkenstein @ Dec 29 2003, 10:17 AM)
Shadows of the Underworld, p. 94, "Anne Penchyk."  Even though her stats look more like an ork than a troll (mostly because a troll's minimum Strength should be 5 at least in 3rd Edition), the picture is clearly that of a troll female.  Pretty cool character, too.  She does have a Charisma of 4, too.
\

That would be because she is an Ork maybe.....

If you look at the Trid shows they talk about in Sprawl Survival Guide, theres one program called "Ask Trollbabe!"

About the Catholic Schoolgirl Troll: Oh Yeah.

Strange how far this thread has gone -

Anyhoo - the Troll Shaman has managed to role-play (successfully) her character's job loss, call by her totem and first run.

"Where are all these guns coming from?!"

But it was successful. Eventually.

QUOTE (GoldenAri)
You think finding an attractive female troll is hard? Try finding and attractive female ork, or for that matter any female ork. The only one I know of is in CC. Are female orks just not represented because they are assumed to always be knocked up or something (wow, that's the most racist remark I've made in a long while)?

Look in the Sprawl Survival Guide. There's one there that looks fairly beleivable.

Named Fatima, I think?

Okay, inspired by this thread, I produced this:

Some random troll chick.

Not a full-body shot, but what can I say? 8.5x11 paper is only so big.

(And for anyone familiar with Demonology 101, yes, I deliberately and blatantly ripped off Madeline's horn design. Credit where it's due.)

Excellent work Campbell! I think her dentist would do something about the length of those tusks but otherwise it's a perfect rendering of a normal-to-goodlooking troll. Kudos!

It was seriously a funkin' long time since I had a look at Dem 101 too, thanks for the reminder.

I ended up having enough of a feel for the character that I managed to come up with some decent shots of her myself...

I like these kind of horns. makes me happy.

and the obligatory portrait-style thing.

I should really scan in her 'driver's license'

let me know if the urls are flakey (I can't do anything if they are, but it'll give you something to gripe about ;))

The urls are flaky. They include the "session" and log-in info and security stuff, the same kind of string you see in the address line when you log into an email account. I'm sure the pictures have an address other than that, but I'll be damned if I know how to dig it out.

Ehh, there seems to be more to it than that. Even the roots (http://f4.grp.yahoofs.com/ and http://f5.grp.yahoofs.com/) are "Not Found". Someone who knows how yahoo knows can probably help you out.

Which explains why nobody else can link to it.

Now there's an idea I hadn't thought of. Using a yahoo group (or other such free group/forum service) as a discussion forum/on-line meeting place for your gaming group.

Those links worked when I checked them this morning... was shortly after they were posted, I think. That garbage string in the URL is probably a time-sensitive session ID, and I got in before it expired. I poked through my cache to see if my browser had stored copies, but couldn't find them...

We have for our on-line team, and it's beyond crappy. (Yahoo-don'tusethis)

Basically, everytime you actually get something up there, yahoo's down or it takes forever (15 minutes per PAGE) to load up. Sure, if you've all got t1 connection, go for it. But it'd be easier hosting one yourself.

L:

it's fine as an interim measure (which is as it was intended, remember?) and so long as you don't do anything stupid - like trying to use their chat function it's okay. somewhere where you can put up the eyecandy, links we all need and all the rest of the crap we tend to put there.

As for the trolls - well, i'd use my webcomic space for them, but well..... I absolutely suck at that sort of thing, unless it's generically uploading my comic.

as for attractive trolls, the best I have online is Aidley, funnily enough.

We've been using Yahoo the last couple of years, and it's been working well. There's been some problems the last couple of months, but other than that it's a great way to keep all the players in touch. You get free storagespace for files and pictures. :)

It made me make a try too, scan (333Ko). I was never really good at drawing girls, by luck there were one or two old FHM lying near (don't ask :D ) to help me a bit. The symetry of dermal deposits on the neck and the forehead on otherwise apparent bones does help a little. She may not be as muscular as she should, and of course it does not show she'd be above two meters tall and closer to three.
