Ok, predictable plot and I won't be wasting money on it, however if you like car chases and highly improbable but definitely amusing bike stunts are your cup of tea, you might like it. :grinbig:

Torque!

Yup. I saw that preview and went "Hmmm. Fast bikes, gangers, organized crime, gunplay, and lots of riding stunts. Definitely a Shadowrun flick."

Admittedly, I'm going to skip it because I expect it to be a really BAD movie, but...

From the preview I saw last night, it looks more like The Fugitive on bikes.

It looks like suck on bikes. No, wait, it looks like one of those lame "Mad Stutz" movies thats looking to capitalize on todays lame "Xtreme!!!" culture. I think Charlie's Angels started it. Man that movie sucked. Being a film buff is lame sometimes, cause I usually go see crappy movies. I'll probably end up seeing Torque, too.

These movies are BAD NEWS!

The motorcycle community worldwide is holding their heads in their hands and preying to the gods that be that the "wow that looks cool, i should try that" factor amongst the masses is kept to a minimum. The last thing we need is a rise in maniac-esque riding resulting in a mass bodycount of idiots who IMHO deserve it and for the politicians to decide that all motorcycles should be fitted with speed limiters and torque control devices.

Stupid movie starring a rapper turned actor (and he sucks at both jobs) trying to capitalize on The Fast and the furious, which by the way, sucked as well. The stunts in this movie aren't just improbable (ala Tom Cruise in M.I. II) there down right impossible.

Whats the difference? One you might pull of maybe if God was really being nice to you. The other is no way in hell. In fact, it looked like to me most of the stunts were computer generated.

But it has Jaime Pressly in it! Surely that must count for something?

Well, okay, maybe not. For that purpose, there's Poison Ivy: The New Seduction.

Fortunately, lots of the stuff that SR riggers do is down right impossible too.

Ya know, it's a little cruel of me but I kinda hope some moron does try to spin 360 on top of a tanker -- and more to the point, I hope it makes "Cops: Wildest Chases" so I can roar hysterically with much glee at Darwin's manipulation of the gene pool.

I cheer for the gators in a Tarzan flick too. :grinbig:

Oh, come on guys. Just think of it. Never will so many Darwin Awards have been handed out in a single year! Yes, 2004 -- "The Year of Thinning the Gene Pool!"

The stupidity of humanity never ceases to amaze me -- there was a football movie that had the players lying down on a highway for the rush as cars drove by at 80+ miles per hour.

I remember at least three deaths from Darwin candidates attempting to duplicate the stunt.

Everything is at fault for stupid people killing theselves other than the stupid people who off them selves, they are always rocket scientists or brain surgeons, at least in the news and during the following law suit. Childrens Superman capes still come with a warning that "This cape dose not give the power of flight", what idiots we all know super man can fly because of our yellow sun instead of his red sun, capes have nothig to do with it. :D

I've seen a disposable coffee cup with a label stating 'This End Up'. I can't imagine who would need to be told this. :D

I work in a bookstore and someone asks "Do you sell books?" once every month or so. Once someone asked for a book with photographs of live dinosaurs.

That's probably who needs to be told to keep their coffee cup upright. :|

that is fuuny.

I used to work with Fiber optics, and on the back of the one of the machine it has a warning label that cautions about eye damage from the laser emitions, that is not the bad. The bad part is to read the tiny label you have look right at the hole where the laser emits from. The label was extremely small and written with light colors on a white panel so you really can't see the label unless you get really close to the hole.
