I believe that the last time we had a look at the middle east was Shadows of Asia.

Edit: Yeah, Shadows of Asia Covers The Arabian Caliphate, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Turkey, Afghanistan, Cyprus, the Kurdish Autonomous Zone, and

There is additional info in SOTA 2063, Year of the Comet and Loose Alliances, but they haven't really updated the region to 2070 yet. Other than the short writeup on Dubai in Corporate Enclaves.

Ah, the Dubai write up. Doesn't really gel with what we know about the Middle East in the Sixth World. Its like someone read the local lonely planet guide and added cyberware - they could have done so much with it. A run down cityscape with oppressive slums, small pockets of extravagant wealth and hubris, a secretive, violent secret police and the crushing despair of the impoverished masses - and that description is of the 2009 reality. Just add guns, 'ware, elves and ally spirits having sex with your Slivergun and its one of the most perfect places to have a campaign set.

Okay - so I'm a little out of the loop. It has been (until the last week or so) about 5 years since I was a regular here...
