Well, since we're all agreed that it's the Black Hammer program that jams connections open, and not the IC itself, I'll go back to the original topic as well.
I remember a similar question being bandied about a ways back. If you are in full-VR combat with Black IC, and your connection gets jammed open, you can only escape by defeating the IC or winning the opposed test, right? What happens if you have a buddy standing by with a biomonitor and a kill switch for your commlink? Sure, you're going to get dumpshocked, but can you really escape Black IC that way? What happens if you've got a kill code embedded in your commlink? Can you escape that way as well? And what are the consequences? Someone argued that if you jack out that way, your data trail should remain wide open, allowing you to be easily tracked. Is that supported by RAW? |
