Spelling is our friend.
D'ye mean in 2063, or when the main Scourge sets in, oh, say 2,227 years from now? |

I mean whenever they decide to show up be it 2,227 years or 3 days could we beat them?
If they show up today i thknk we have a chance. If we have 3,000 years to improve our technology we still have about the same chance. Think about it while we are improving its safe to assume that they are also improving at a simillar or faster rate |

I'd say no right now, but in 3000 years (once we actually have kares to base ourselves in) we'll be fine. How easy it is depends on things such as wether horrors really can survive in space and how well they deal with background count/nukes ETC.

Improving everything from power to new and powerful metamagics. Hell they might even have guns do you think humas are the only ones smart enough to design your modern bullet? Artifacter is proof enough that astral entities can use technology. |

Heres something to think about. If Artificer could make and use a nuke in the fourth world of ED what do you think he has now? Much less in about 3000 years.
I dont mind people correcting my spelling my form of dyslexia particuarlly manifests its self in all gramma related topics spelling ect... so i apoligize for the bad grammar. I am only trying to prove a point. |

Well said. However, if history has taught us anything, when it comes to killing and blowing things up - especially ourselves - mankind tops the charts. Kinda makes me all misty eyed... :) ***EDIT*** On another point, are you familiar with the presumptions of technological stagnation: i.e. there could come a point in development where the practicalities and end results of technological devices preclude an adequate measure of advancement? Granted, no one can predict how or when such an event could happen, but its a sound argument: especially in fantasy writings. :) |

War History in general only deals with humans and how they kill each other. Their isnt much on how astral entities would make war on each other and what kind of weapons they use. So history only tells us how effective we are at killing millions of other humas not millions of spirits, horrors, ect.....
If history teaches up anything it teaches us that we dont have a chance in hell against the horrors you need look no farther than earthdawn. |

Even more so to emphases: it didn't take us long to match others that have existed for far longer, in destroying just as much with such little effort. This however, is more a philosophical debate that could be argued at length (indeed I’ve had a similar conversation in another subject), so I’ll just withdraw out of it. “This and that” arguments aren’t my forte. :) |

Really off topic here: but the whole Horror's versus Humanity keeps reminding me of Warhammer 40,000 and the whole Chaos versus Humanity thing.
Just ignore me... I'm rambling again... :spin: |

Searched for all messages in the Kaers thread about Artificer, nothing mentioned anything about it using nukes in the 4th world. Could you give the number of the message where it is, or some keyword to search it with? |
