I recently picked up Alpha Omega, and while I really like the setting the rules leave me a bit flat. I would love to bring it over to the Shadowrun ruleset, but am lost as to how to create my own races. Anyone who can help point me to a race creation checklist or provide one.

Thanks

Aric

Runner's Companion gives some information regarding it using SURGE as a guideline. Other people here could probably give you more info, I am just plugging the book.

I flipped through that at my FLGS the other day. Looks awesome, but $80 is more than I'm willing to pay for an RPG at the moment.

YIKES!! $80 dollars for a RPG with subpar rules. Did they really expect it to sell?

Sorry, that's AUD $80. 80 is about what you expect to pay for an RPG book here, though the 'big time' companies are hiking their books upwards of $100...

Back on topic, yeah, Runner's Companion is what you want for race creation rules.

Whoa, have anybody visited their website? they've definitely made it flashy. Doesn't make me want to buy it though.

First off, thanks for the help and pointing me towards the Companion.

Alpha Omega isn't a bad game, just isn't as well thought out in terms of mechanics. It is useable, and easily worked around. Now I just have to decide if I want to put forth the effort to convert or take the time to work around the issues.

Thanks again

Aric
