Having followed along near the back of the crowd of runners Rossi takes a seat, trying to shift the table in the process in the hopes of finding out if it's bolted to the floor or if it could be tipped over if the worst came to the worst. "Charming place," he notes pleasantly, glancing around the room in an attempt to guage peoples moods with the empathy software running on his cybereyes. |

Ticklers 10:43 Champagne room
Pan: hidden Jasper mossies in with the pack, lingering for a second at the peepshow as they pass. Keep yer head in the game you dirty ol' coot. In the Champagne room, Jasper leaned against the wall and worked on finishing his smoke. The camera feed from Shelly was clear so far. He mentally ordered Charlene to tighten the perimeter. After putting out his cigarette on the leg of his overalls he tries to size up some more of his colleagues. The guy fiddling with the table seemed old school. Jasper half expected to see him whip out a pocket watch or something, but real smooth. The chick with the blue hair and the midriff seemed kinda fresh faced, spunky, Like a kid at their first rodeo. If it was an act, it was a good one.The one that kept catching his attention though, was the kid in the jumpsuit. That kid is shakin like bad shocks. Bad nerves? New Cyber? better keep an eye on him, he looks like he could snap at any minute. |

Tes smiles across the table at Rossi.
"Charming, that's the word I wanted," he says, looking over the table for the booze list. What's good, cheap and strong here? |

Stray is slightly nervous, eager, and tense, which Rossi's emotion-analyzing program shows him. [ Spoiler ]

[ Spoiler ] After more than one person doesn't immediately claim a seat, Nuke mentally shrugs and settles onto the couch, unconcerned with what he might or might not have just rubbed the bottom of his jacket against. Recognition flashes briefly across his eyes as he spots something familiar in the Johnson's body, or body language. He fails to suppress the smirk, then opens up some glyphing software and connects to the incoming video feed from his own eyes. After a quick tweak, what passes for her clothing has gone from translucent to opaque. [ Spoiler ]

22:44:03 Champagne room of Ticklers, Downtown Aiki District
Ms. Johnson shuts the door behind everyone as the enter and then turns to them. "The room is clean, so speak freely....after I give my pitch." Ms. J walks to a darkened corner and retrieves some hardcopy (e-paper) photos, where she places them on the glass top table in front of the couch. "Job's simple. You follow these two for a week and report who they talk to, their contacts, friends...whoever they run into. There are other particulars you can read through, but its a simple tail job." Ms. Johnson waits as the assembled peer at the hardcopies. [OOC: This is where you'll ask questions and such....I might be preaching to the choir here but I wanted to explain why this open ended and brief] |

Hardcopies. Stray likes that. It seems more honest, more simple. The adept peers at the pictures. What she really wants to ask is how much nuyen this will pay, but that might look unprofessional or greedy. So, instead she asks "What information do we already have about them?" |

Tes glances at the pictures briefly, ordering his cybereyes to store the pictures for reference later.
"It does seem simple, but there are quite a few of us here. Why so many for just two marks?" |

The girl and the Orc summed it up pretty good. Jasper thought about different scenarios as he waited his turn to glance over the photos. The Orc seemed like your typical muscle, but maybe he's sharper than ol' jasper gave him credit.
He threw out a few questions as he thought of em,"Do these two know each other? Do we know what kind of transport they use? do we know where they live or work? If one of us is spotted and they get spooked, should we disappear, or apprehend the subjects? Is there anything in particular you want to know, or,at the end of a week, we get paid regardless?" |

Hardcopies. Luddite. Such a shame.
Nuke patiently waits his turn to see the pictures, saving still images of each. The loss of a status signal from his bike's alarm system confirms that the room is inhibiting his wireless signal. "If you'd give us the particulars to read, I'm sure we can waste a lot less of your time with questions like 'what are their names' or 'where can we normally find them at 11pm on a Monday night'. One question I do want to ask first though. How do you want to take delivery of the information we gather?" |

The barely dressed woman spoke and presented the offer. It seemed simple enough. Yukika shifted on the couch slightly in response to the change in positions as others leaned forward or shifted to look at the photos. Instead of leaning forward she slid back a bit and made sure she could see more of the people around her. Their reactions to this were of interest. If these were the people she'd be working this would be a good way to get a sense of them. And in any case, Yukika needed to learn what she could.
The questions people asked could be so much more revealing then any answers given |

Flash certainly didn't mind asking the obvious question, to add to the list of other inquiries.
"And how much do you propose to pay us for this, not including fees for the fixers? " |

Good, someone else asked. Not that an initial offer matters before I know anything about the marks, but it's nice to have a baseline. Might even tell me something about what the hell is really going on here.
Nuke settles back into his seat, studying the pictures. The faces themselves are almost ignored as he focuses on the photo backgrounds, others in the pictures, and the clothing of the two targets. [ Spoiler ]

Discharge looked up when someone mentioned the fact that this was a LOT of people for an observation job - too many. However, the series of questions that followed seemed to swallow it up. He sat back and let the lady answer what was put out there already before making any waves himself. He spent the time imagining how electrocution would come in handy when spying on a couple of guys - probably only if things go bad.

Among the photos are several of two men, both dressed in AmerInd-inspired gang attire. The names Alec Littletree and Xa Firebird are imposed on the bottoms of the corresponding photos. There are also sat-pics of various building that appear to on the Seattle/Salish border according to the co-ordinates on the photos. "I'll also beam this info if you'd like. These two are Liutenants in the First Nations gang and the sat pics are from known safe houses belonging to the gang. I need details on their contacts, their assets, how they're earning their yen...the whole package. I need as much on them as you can get." Ms. J looks around and then offers "5K per.." she leaves this open, in the event the usual haggling might occur.

Five grand to spend a week finding everything we can on a pair of sellout slackers. Wonder how much of a bonus we can get on the back end if we're thorough enough. [ Spoiler ]

"Are you wanting them both watched at the same time? Or one after the other?" Rossi wonders, taking time to read the information infront of him. "If it's at the same time, well that's far more work than if we're following each target one at a time and as such should be compensated more thoroughly."

First Nation... natives... Stray ponders this. She's expecting interference from gangs if they mess with their Lieutenants, since that's what gangs do, in her experience. Surveillance is not her forte, and the words are getting a bit fancy for her, so she's not speaking up, she'll do what the team decides. But 5K per... for a week's worth of work... the adept would whistle at the offer, if that were not unprofessional. That's a lot of money for her. |

She recognized the opening steps of the dance, she would let the man take the lead, like a good dance partner, she would make sure to fit in and embellish. She leaned forward on the couch and tilted her body towards the man, making it clear she was addressing him. It wouldn't matter that anyone would hear what she said, but it was important to indicate she was deferring to him in this matter.
"While we are spending all of our time for a week, in shifts, I think shifts yes? None of us will be able to do some of our usual business neh?" |

PAN: Hidden Jasper watched the Asian woman deffer to mr. smooth in the suit. She seemed like a pro at this. Working the whole room like a geisha at a tea house. Jasper liked to flap his jaw, but decided to leave this to the professionals. He had a habit of just taking what was offered or walking away. The army doesn't train people to argue. Being cut off from his vehicles and perimeter surveillance was starting to make him antsy. he hit his commlink through the data jack and started sniffing for radio signals to occupy his time. |

Flash was used to dealing with a dominantly male crowd. She liked being the center of attention and especially of men. With so many other attractive women in the room, she felt a bit uneasy and decided not to get involved for now. If the Johnson was a Mister, she probably wouldn't be just watching the pros work the Johnson. Though it was almost a thing of beauty to listen to them lure the Johnson into giving them more money. |

"I think perhaps the point my associate and I are making is that having two people watched constantly in two seperate locations is very time intensive and as professionals our time should be duly compensated." Rpssi pauses, taking the time to commit the faces of the targets to memory. "Also would it be possible to enquire about your prefered payment method? For example will we receive nuyen up front to cover expenses while we work? Or will it be payment on delivery of the information?" |

Nuke sinks further into his corner of the couch as the talk about money comes along. The payment seems low, given the lack of chances to pick some extra cred on the side, but it's really not something to bring up. Then again, there's not a lot of heavy lifting involved either. Shame about the wireless jamming. If I could get out to the real world, I could probably find these two slots before they finish arguing about how much I'm getting paid. Nuke absentmindedly starts turning up the signal on his commlink, trying to brute force his way through the wireless negation. |
