In Earthdawn there was a dragon refered to as the "Outcast". I was curious if the dragon that was released from its prison in eastern europe in Shadowrun was the same wyrm? If it was this dragon was cast out of the dragon socioty for breeding dragon-kin and may we see a return of them as well? Anciant History, if your still out there do you have a take on this?

No. For one thing, Całożerca is far too young to be Denairastas.

No, that was Denairastas, of which there has been no trace in Shadowrun.

Popular theory has it that Całożerca was possibly one of the adult dragons captured and placed into magical hibernation to be corrupted by Verjigorm; others that it was imprisoned for other reasons. Based on its coloring alone, Całożerca may be related to Alamais or Lofwyr.

AH,
Thanks for the response. I could not remember the name of the imprisoned dragon, just that the others all seemed worried by his freedom.
What did happen to Verjigorm (Thats the Horror posessed dragon right)? If he was not slain it would be an interesting way to interduce horrors back into the game. As even though the mana is to low for Horrors to exsist normally, Verjigorm is sitting in a great dragon which current mana levels do support. Hmm, I may do something with that in my own game.

No, that was Vestrivan. Verjigorm is the Hunter of Great Dragons. Vestrivan was last seen disappearing into the Horror Storm, as I recall. He could well be back.

The Earthdawn "Book of Dragons" (2004) seems to indicate that Vestrivan did survive the Horror Storm if I am reading the entry right. Granted this is a Earthdawn text, so it has no bearing on Shadowrun canon but it does make a interesting "what if". Are there any hints by the current writers of a return of some horror infected foes?

Hard to tell. LRG's Book of Dragons was a modest update on the original PDF FASA released for free when Earthdawn was cancelled the first time around; LRG is currently no longer producing Earthdawn material and RedBrick (who is) is not bound to follow anything they've written. I honestly haven't been keeping up with RedBrick, but to the best of my knowledge Vestrivan has not made an appearance there yet, either.

I believe that Year of The Comet mentions what sounds a lot like a horror inhabited Dragon. Don't think it said a Great Dragon, just that it was huge and had tentacles I believe.

The Horrors haven't returned yet, but I do expect them to show up sometime.

My god, what that'll do to the world.
