Im creating a character that's reminiscent of a Face Dancer from Dune, a character with the ability to change appearance at will to blend into an environment and act as an assassin or thief.

What do you think a good set-up or add-on might be for a character like this?

I'm unsure wether facial changes are easier to accomplish with adept powers or the False Front bioware.
I'd have to read up on that.
In any case, forget Melanin Control- get full Nano Tattoos, they offer much more versatility in changing your skin color.
You'll want a nanohive anyway, as Limbic Neural Stimulus Nanites will help a lot with disguise tests, as well as other INT-based skills.
Cybernetic breast implants, as well as retractable fangs and horns, may also be useful for more drastic changes in appearance.

Boosting Con and Etiquette would also be crucial, of course.

Another approach would be to simply use the Physical Mask spell, of course.

Also look into the Voice Control adept power, which is much better than similar 'ware, and cheap to boot.

Might want to look into Quick Change Artist as well. Got a tail from Lone Star or the local Yaks? Walk in a bar, shut the door, quick change everything from clothes, skin, and voice, then walk right back out past your tail.

Unless you're going anywhere with cameras or drones... like anywhere important, or in public.

The Physical Mask spell has a second step that also masks you to technology if I remember correctly.

I think Mordinvan might be referring to the revised OR rules in SR4A.
