News Topics, What would the characters see on the news? Options

Heyas,
Thanks for taking the time to read this first of all. And second of all, I'm loving the site.

But, I plan on slipping the characters in my game a couple of tidbits of information about their next run in the news. Well, it will be there if any of them think to watch it. And I was wondering if any of you guys had some ideas for topics to put in the news? Just random headlines that would be covered. I've got the ones covered that will give out the information....but thats not all there is to the news!
So how about it, care to help me come up with some headlines and possible newsblurbs?

"Breaking news in the world of security, Knight Errant has announced the deployment of their new Magically Assisted Rapid Response Squadrons, or MARRS troopers. MARRS troopers are able to quickly deploy to any zone and are well armed enough to respond to any threat. The addition of MARRS troopers to their arsenal allows Knight Errant to charge less for their services than their competitors, as regular responders need not be as fully armed. As a result, Knight Errant has managed to underbid longtime security favorite Lone Star in many districts for the coming fiscal year.

In other news, a nuclear reactor was detonated on an island about four kilometers off the coast of Hyannis, Massachusetts. The explosion was visible from the mainland, and has caused a significant amount of concern for the citizens of Hyannis. Experts agree that the concern is largely unnecessary, as the fallout is much more likely to drift out to sea. No reports yet as to what caused the explosion, or if anyone was in the area when the reactor detonated.

The Digital Intelligence Caliope released an album of its music onto the Matrix today, and it quickly reached triple platinum. The album, called Kaledoscope Eyes, is the first musical work to be produced by a Digital Intelligence for profit.
