Basically two questions about compounds.
1) What is the effective magic rating for compounds that grant critter powers like innate spell. Can you just use essence for mundanes drinking such an elixir? 2) What happens when a compound or someone affected by it comes across a background count? Does the effect wear off, is it lowered or is it unaffected by it? |

QUOTE 2) What happens when a compound or someone affected by it comes across a background count? Does the effect wear off, is it lowered or is it unaffected by it? Since magical compounds do not have a Force, they are not affected by background counts directly. The background count lowers the user's Magic rating, which in turn can lower the effects of the compound-granted abilities in some cases. Durations are based on Essence, not Magic, and are not affected. Keen, huh? |

For example? O.o
The Veins are natural Orichalcum. That has been created by the Mana-SURGE of old Shiney up there. |

Orichalcum has been found, in a way, pre-Awakening.
