Anybody know if there is a list anywhere of gear organized by date?

I am running a TT game and plan on starting them in 2057 and plan on limiting them to the tech that was available then.

Thanx

One way is to use this compilation of Sourcebook Dates and only use Sourcebooks from 2057 and earlier. Unfortunately those sourcebooks are all Shadowrun 2. If you want to play Shadowrun 3 rules with those gear limitations you'd have to do a lot of cross checking to see what gear existed then and what the SR3 stats were for it, or you could simply have characters outfit themselves from those earlier books. Sorry I don't know anything better to suggest.

Crosschecking, indeed.

As far as I can tell, NSRCG has all of the books and the effects as per SR2 rulings if the book is from that time (or prior). Double check through all of that.

The order of SR2 books.

Core ('52/3)
Shadowtech ('52/3)
Street Samurai Catalog ('52/3)
Grimoire II ('54)
Rigger II ('54)
Virtual Realities II ('54)
Fields of Fire ('54)
Awakenings ('57)
Cybertechnology ('57)

That's all the major stuff. Not too many other books have anything worthwhile for specs on weapon/'ware.

Reviewing my bookshelves, I find a great Gear table at the back of Fields of Fire. If you simply say your characters have to find their SR3 gear named in that list, you'll get close to what you want.
