Its all strings! little loops of strings, on up to 7 dimesnions, vibrating at several frequencies... ok, so its still a theory, but its one way some physicists explain matter and energy can be alike and different, like in light

Get it right, 10 or 24+ dimensions, not 7.

Ok, so I wasn't aware everyone here was so much into higher physics/string theorie. Yes, I've heard of those as well, yes it was a bad example. Just couldn't find a better analogy. As for now the only thing that's sure is that light has wave properties as well as particle properties. Light does have a mass as it is able to move things and is affected by gravity (hence the phenomenon of a 'black hole' -> it 'sucks up' the light) but it also behaves like a wave of radiation when you do some slit experiments. That's where you get those neat interference patterns from. This can also be performed with water, hence the name wave.
Yes, light can move things. They are actually manufacturing a "light engine" (well, "Ion Engine" is the correct term, I think) However, that thing is built for outer space conditions - no air resitance, no gravity. It will take quite an amount of time to accelerate to a considerable amount of time but it can do so for a long time so eventually they will be pushing close to half of lightspeed (I think) after a few years of accelerating.
Lasers can be felt because they are highly energetic. 'Normal' light can not be felt. Sunlight can not be felt (at least not here on earth) it's the UV radiation and some other things that make it seem hot and make it burn our skin. They always appear together but they're something different.

What fascinates me most is that different experiments of the exact same kind have yeilded two different results depending on what the conductor expected. They shot light at a near-monomolecular gold sheat to see what happens. Those supporting the theory of light being waves saw - what was to be expecte - nothing. Those who supported the theory of light being particles saw little craters - molecules being pushed out - on the sheat. Weird... Makes you think about this whole mind-over-matter thing...

Ok, now that we have sorted that out can we get back on topic?
The whole point I was trying to make is that the light flowing through a glassfiber cable is not chanelled mana although they may behave alike on first sight.
Of course this whole argument has very little foundation since we don't exactly know a lot about mana which is mainly because mana is a purely fictional construct.
