So I've only got access to my SR4 books here on the bountiful ocean, and I'm trying to re-create an old shaman of mine. Can't find Gecko in my refs, so I'm thinking it was SR3. Anyone got the book handy that has the Gecko mentor in it?

Gecko
Fast moving and always on the lookout, Gecko is impossible to pin down. He is a prankster but not a thief. Extremely adaptable and difficult to kill, Gecko always manages to get into places where he shouldn’t go. Unfortunately, he often brings his friends along for the fun.
Environment: Anywhere
Advantages: +2 dice for illusion or manipulation spells (shaman’s choice), +1 die for resisting any type of poison
Disadvantages: –1 die for combat spells

Okay, I was going to save my Alan Moore go-crazy-worship-a-sock-and-direct-chaos-magic-rituals-against-corporations-that-turn-my-comics-into-movies for my next birthday, but you just made the list and I'm gonna tap the inner kook a little early.

So is that a yes or a no to his question. I'm seeing a lot of ranting and raving and flailing of hands but no answers.

Thanks to the Ancient on for the quick answer (which book would that be?) and to the both of you for one last laugh to stick in my head before I head off and try to sleep.

Magic in the Shadows was the last published stats.

If the gecko does talk to you, it better be trying to convince you to worship the Winslow or set the world on fire or something.

On a not entirely unrelated note, I was trying to explain the Geico ads to my Aussie co-workers here because they've never seen or heard of them.

I was trying to find one on Youtube - you remember the one with the prisoner being escorted into the jail cell to talk to his lawyer?

Lawyer: "I have good news."
Con: "You're going to get me out of here?"
L: "No. I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico."

Sorry, bit random but I loved that ad.

You'd so have to get the 10BP metagenic trait which gives him the frog tongue out of runners companion (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Bad ass. That works so much better for my Mindfuck Mage than Dragon or Raven.

Exploiting other's failures or not accepting defeat didn't really fit the concept.

I'm making a free-spiritede hippie shaman for my corporate brat-pack runner group. Going to try and get back on track with my Emerald City Nights project, and in doing so I seem to have decided to write a parallel project called Over the Horizon. Gotta love rich kid runners who don't even know their fixer works for mommy and daddy's bosses.
