Maybe the designers didn't feel a need to create rules for handling role-playing aspects -- leaving that up to the players at the table.

This is going to sound pretty stupid but... I HATE rolling damage... There I said it, the thing that I always loved about any edition of the Shadowrun mechanics was not having to roll damage, just rolling my to hit and then adding the successes to a static damage number.

If I was to do d20 Shadowrun I would just use Mutants and Masterminds.
