Grey: Technically, that's what I do now. I just don't have any real qualifications or know-how...or a real job in which to slack off. :D

Okay, here we go...
Some things first, If my math is correct, which is questionable, I still have 160 Kp left which is off the chart for :nuyen: So I'll probably buy a bunch of crap and dump the rest back in to skills. The cyber and bio came to 426K so I should have a substantial amount of Kp left. I'll let you in on a little secret, I don't like buying gear. Don't get me wrong, I like buying guns, melee weapons, armor and stuff like that. But then the interest fades away. I'll buy com gear and magic stuff (if neccessary) and then its way down hill after that. “Cassidy” Attributes 152 28 B: 5 (6) 40 Q: 6 (8 ) 18 S: 4 (6) 10 C: 3 28 I: 5 28 W: 5 E: 1.9 Ex: 2.3 R: 6 (9) I: 9+3d6 Active Skills 315 21 Athletics 6 30 Brawling 6 14 Car 4 21 Edged Weapons 5 14 Electronics 4 15 Electronics (B/R) 5 16 Etiquette 4 26 Negotiation 5 30 Parchuting 6 40 Pistols 7 14 Rotorcraft 4 14 Small Unit Tactics 4 30 Stealth 6 30 SMG 6 Knowledge Skills 12 15 Arabic 5 0 English 5 10 French 4 15 German 5 10 UCAS Military Sign Language 4 6 Ancient Greek History (Spartan) 2 (4) 6 Greek Epics 3 10 Military Insignia 4 15 Military Procedures 5 Cyberware (Alpha) Bone Lacing: Plastic Boosted Reflexes: 3 Cybereyes: Flare Compensation Low Light Image Link Thermographics Datajack Headware Memory: 50mp Knowsoft Link Router: 3 Smarlink SubSystems: Induction Pad (right hand) Ltd. 1. If you are gunna have tons of :nuyen: left over, you may as well bump all the cyber up to Betaware.
2. You took Boosted Reflexes and didn't add a Synaptic Accelerator? *smack* 3. One thing I like to do is buy an obvious cyberhand, install DNI, then put a Personal Comm Unit (at least rating 6, but this is high power, so may as well go for 10). You also have room to put a memory chip into it (I think 1000 megapulse chips run 7500 :nuyen: after adding the DNI cost). I'm getting off work now, so I've got to bail. If I get time this weekend I'll see what else I could suggest, otherwise you'll have to wait till Monday. |

You shouldn't have to DNI-adapt the actual comm unit itself, as (IIRC) it already has the capacity as standard.

Yeah, but you need the DNI if you put a memory chip into it.

I'm going for a bit of a low profile since I'm planning on blending in w/ the "sheep". So the cyberhand is not what I had in mind but I could be convinced.
You're porbably right about the Synaptic Acclerator, though. All advice is welcome, keep it coming. |

Well, you don't have the actual Smartlink II Processor listed.
Grey: I agree that you have to DNI-link the implant, but the device itself is already capable of DNI-type stuff. Why would you need to adapt it again? |

A memory chip is not DNI by default. At least that was how I took it. The chipjack is DNIed, so the chip put into it gets used. If you want to put a chip into a cyberhand you need to add DNI.

You also might want to look at the Eye Light System, especially as you have Ą to spare.

Yes, but my point is that the Comm Unit is already DNI-capable. There should be no need to actually make this adjustment to the actual Comm Unit to use the Memory Chip(s). As I said though, I agree that you have to implant a DNI-link to the device itself, but the actual unit shouldn't need any further adaption. |

I was looking more for advice on Skills. The chrome he has is there for a reason...background mostly. I hadn't planned on cramming much more cyber into him. Unless someone comes up w/ a really cool use for some chrome I haven't. (entirely possible, BTW) The SynapAccel you may have sold me on.. I'll have to crunch some #s and see if I can do it with the essence index and all. I'd like this guy to at least some of his original parts.
It's not that I feel I have money to burn, I plan purchasing what I think I'll need for this run and then some odds and ends just in case this turns into a longer running campaign. Then I what to keep jamming into those skills. |

Nah, it's cool. It's just a bit more difficult to provide suggestions when the background is an unknown, and all one has to go on is the raw numbers. :)
Personally, I'd pump up that Small Unit Tactics skill to at least 6. |

Cool. I just have a case of the jitters, I guess....I haven't made a character like this since I first started playing...when I was younger....I may have been--no....I was a...uh, er, that is, I might have been.....a Munchkin!!
There, I said it! Are you happy now!? :D Kidding, mostly. I have a suspicion that there is a natural progression among RPers that start at a young age, 10ish or younger. He or she begins as almost a clone, RP-style wise, of the person that taught him or her. Then, upon gaining sufficient autonomy, forms a coccon wherein he or she pours over every book available amassing a vast horde of knowledge w/ little actual/practical playing time. Upon emerging from this crysilis, the new gamer begins to produce outlandish characters to satisfy his or her new lust for power. Eventually, though playing, the new RPer develops a sense for "fun does not equal uberpower" and starts to create more "realistic" characters. And actually stops griping about creation rules. I grew out if that phase and am having trouble making a charater this powerful to start, even though I know its part of the run...I do appreciate the help though, and, I'd like to stress this part, in no way, shape, or form do I consider anyone one on this run or the run premis itself to be "munchy" in any way, shape or form. I just feel like I'm cheating and wanted some to say "nope, you're doing fine. And your math adds up" I guess I have a complex about this.... :D |

Nope, you're doing fine, but I didn't bother to check your math.
Close enough? :D Seriously, there is nothing wrong with making (and playing) high powered characters. That in itself does not make anyone a Munchkin. Oh, and did I mention that Small Unit Tactics skill? ;) |

kevyn668: nah, it's cool :)
Munchkin-ness would be adding Sea legs to your character for this run... or a severe phobia of jungle animals :P I noticed you didn't take any Brawling maneuvers. If you have some spare karma floating around, you could always invest in those (remember, 2 maneuvers max at chargen). Smart choice in language skills, by the way. I'm still prepping the run at this point, creating NPC stats and so on, but it's coming along nicely. I forgot to mention: Raygun's weapons are OK to use, just make sure you include the stats in detail in your sheet so I don't have to keep checking over at his site during the run. |

Ok, so far we have:
Grey: undecided, TacCom Digital Heroin: Power Armored Super-Mega-Mecha-Dwarf kevyn668: Ex-military Sam/Merc tanka: Drone rigger Callidus: Harlot, the Lover Shaman Fenris: undecided Raiko: Merc/Covert ops I would greatly advise one of you to double up as a decker of some kind to deal with Phoenix. Normally the CCSS systems are ran by a rigger, but they are patched into Phoenix' systems. If you can disable that link, Phoenix will be blind to what's happening inside the ship. |

Alright, spent last night writing a redemption post for another game... tonight I re-craft my power armor... *collar tug* It's gonna bend some rules, and there's already one I made for it, but all is of course subject to GM approval...
As a backup, I'll see about whipping up a Decker too... might be fun... |

Dear God this could get wacky... decided my powersuit needed a flight option, given the target... but you can't make an Anthroform drone fly, and that's the basis for the suit (irony is they mention drone power armor in SW: KoTOR, though only started playing that last week, and my armor's months old) ...the solution: a second drone, this one a UAV designed so it can latch onto the first...

You can tack me down for a decker/covert ops type.
Waht do you mean by the wolf in sheeps clothing, Kevyn? And Digital, since we're looking at basically B/R'ing into a flying city, what are you going to do before the run gets hosed up and goes loud? Decided to Edit instead of double posting: MM, do you have a problem with breadbox(custom) decks, since you're allowing custom weapons, vehicles, drones, etc?
