If you wanted a temple mounting point for say glasses or flip over techie style monocles, what would you call the cost and essence on that?
Closest I can come up with so far is a datajack w/skinlink and customize it to be able to mount something like this. Thoughts? |

Do you mean a sort of visor-like gear ? like a medieval helmet with a revolving visor, only without the helmet ?
If so, i'd make it a cosmetic headware taking 1 capacity or 0.1 essence. I'm guessing you want a way to raise/lower your glasses while doing something else with your hands ? I may be missing something, but why the skinlink ? isn't the datajack's DNI enough ? |

Not like midieval visor...
Picture a small clear'ish square of material on a tiny telescoping arm with a rotating joint. So you set it on the mounting plate, and it can, as called by your network, flap over in front of the eye to create what would be an old style heads up display in front of your eye. Difference in my thinking is that with the description somewhere that an external headband could send a laser or something at the bones in your ear to simulate earbuds for PAN/AR work, this would be something for the eyes... It would connect externally, and enhance the cybereyes to add more features If it helps, it's more like AR glasses but they magnetically attach to a small disk on your temple or forehead. Now, most of that is just fluffy AR glasses, but what about the small mounted disk you attach it to? that would be set in the skin, somehow And by my thinking, if you're gonna pay .1 essence for it, might as well make it a datajack. As for the skinlink, it was just typed in to make it to where it's transmitting without radio |

Thanks for all the info...
Heh, makes me wonder about the concept of adding to implanted cyberware from an external source, though. Guess it isn't really much different than a fluffy version of glasses, earbuds, or a magnetic scanner stuck on a cyberarm. |
