The AP-modifier is +5, but what if i use it in weapons with a negative-AP? Do they stack like e.g. +5 -2 = +3?

Based on other weapons, the answer seems as though it should be yes.
However, looking at the weapons where they've listed both normal and fletchett stats, (Remington Roomsweeper, Remington 990) we see that the stats with fletchetts list AP as +5, despite the weapons both having a -1 AP normally. |

(The explicit stating of an) Exception that proves the (general) rule. |
