Ok Trace is casting a force 6 mana bolt on the little bugger.
He is going to cast it at 6M and hope the damage stages up... Hope. Spell Dice (6) 08 07 05 05 03 02 Now I am going to add 2 dice from my astral combat pool to assist in the casting, Astral Combat Pool (2) 09 02 Now this leaves me with a drain of 6M.... Willpower 6 (I cant quite remember what I use to resist drain...) 14 13 11 03 03 02 It looks like three successes, I am going to use the remaining Astral Combat pool to resist. 14 09 08 05 01 01 If I am doing this right, then I think the result will be 6 total successes on the spell, and 6 successes on the resist drain. |

Im back...what a hellish week. This week we should be getting back to normal, though for the first couple of days work is going to be hectic so there might not be much in the way of posts from me during business hours.
Ok..Shadow..just so you know, I need you to decide pool allocations before you roll. Im not sure if you did or not, but the way you posted it looks like you didn't. If you did, not worries. Also...you drained this spell, but be careful since you are casting from astral and that means the drain is physical instead of stun. |

Yeah, after I decided how to split my pool and I started rolling, I was all, oh drek. I could die... It's amazing how hard it is to hit a tn of 6, regardless of the number of dice.

You know... you don't have to cast spells at them, you can just engage them in Astral Combat, which would be much easier.

And why was your drain 6M? Shouldn't it have been 3M?

The drain code in the book is DL M. Damage level, M.
Yes we could I suppose, but what if it got away? Then we would be hosed. We have to kill it in one shot, or one pass, otherwise ti would run to it's master. |

You always divide the spell's force in half before applying the drain code modifiers. Magic just got easier for you. :D

FYI...you drained the spell...Im assuming the drop of blood is just flavor text?
Also...you can continue forward...I would just flavor text the rest, but if you are casting from the astral, Id like to see all the rolls necessary. |

You're lucky I was at work for the first one and wasn't thinking clearly when I posted...that other should have only taken an S...but anywho...
You'd only stage that up to 6S and it looks like he took some damage, but not enough to knock him out. |

Ill need to check the book, but I dont think that's right...I believe it's a willpower or charisma test...and I don't think the damage is S unless you are already counting staging...please stand by until I can look it up.

I think since the TN was 4 she counted successes and included the staging (hence the total). According to my printing damage is Charisma M.

Yes, we are waiting for the results of Crechebaby's attack. If it fails tehn I am blasting away with another manabolt. |
