Ok, here is a plan...
We cap the guard. Jack goes into the system and locks the camera outside the security booth. We carry this guy over to the security door and use his Biometric to get into the security room, be it his retina or his hand. Take out the security guards and take control of the security room. The building is OURS. |

What about the president on the phone?
I think it's a good plan Grey, not that we have a lot of choice mind you. :) |

Once we have the security room, dealing with the Prez will be easy. We cut his phone and lock his door. If we end up needing him to get into the room, we go get him, but I'm thinking that if we have control of the security room, we'll be able to get in and snag the armor without any problems.
One thing I just thought of is we may have a problem with the Prez has a cell phone, but I've got a Jammer for that, so it won't be a problem after all. |

FYI the TN for a single gunshot with silencer is 4, 6 in in a another room but still on the same floor. So I always try to not to have gun play unless absolutely needed.

What if they are down a long hallway, with the door closed, and on the phone (thus, preoccupied)?

Then a 8. If he's an executive then he probably has a decent Intelligence so good chance he can get a 6 then a 8. But hey, that's me. ;)

You've got to be kidding me. I've been in offices today that have more freakin' networks, 60 years behind the times and with less computers!
'scuse my rant, felt the need to scream :D Anywho, just going to doublecheck to make sure there are no hidden access nodes. The test is Locate Access Node, TN is the Index Rating of the System, and the Utility I can use to lower the TN is Browse, which I have at...well, I'll have to leave that up to the DM, since the temporary copy of the character that I have right now doesn't have the deck information with it ;) Anywho, I should be able to toss 17 dice at the problem (10 hacking, 6 computer, 1 task) |

No...but as you poke around, you get an idea why. There are several data nodes marked as sensitive and even in the closed system it looks like the gate guards in that direction are a little more bristly than you might expect. What strikes you as odd, is that this is the kind of setup you'd see and a really high level R&D facility. But it seems surrounded in superfulous crap info to give it a legit outer coating.

If the Data Storage area is a closed network, couldn't he just connect the dataline tap to the maglock on the door? That should connect him to the security network, right?

Computer: 1,1,1,1,2,3,3,4,4,4,5,7,7,8,9,9,10 Since I don't have access to my deck, I'm not sure exactly what I have that might help, but if you could isolate what kind of test I'm making, I can tell you what utility would reduce the target numbers. |

Blitz baby, let's talk! (lifts off sunglasses)
Are you playing where we need to tell you everything we're doing or assuming we do the little things like shut doors, switch on comm. gear, etc? Some clarity will help with future posts. Thanks. |
