Good question actually. I wont let a simple thing like that ruin a game of give you up or send the story hurling towards an unpleasant situation, but at the same time, I do expect a bit of details in the posts given.

Besides...the issue that's outstanding at the moment is a minor one by FAR. It's something he (jack) caught only with an exceptional perception check. Not one likely for the guards to catch.

Since you're a little shakey on the Matrix type stuff, do you want me to write what I'm trying to do strictly cinematically, i.e., looping the cameras, and let you handle the rest? Or would you prefer cinematic IC and an OOC post with what I think are the appropriate tests and modifiers? Or something strictly OOC with tests and rolls, and let you post IC?

I need a concrete idea on how you want to do this, because from what I understand, the information you gave out is a little different from standard stuff. For instance, are you carrying a security tally, and do you have an idea of what the security sheaf looks like? Do you know what the slave rating for the camera systems is?

Since you're telling me about the presence of IC, does that mean you've determined that I've detected them, or was that just flavor, and if I have detected them, can I tell why they're active, since theoretically the IC wouldn't be active unless triggered by the host for specific reason?

Once you've figuered out how you want to do this, lemme know. Of course, my first action is going to be to access the Slave node that controls the lights, shut them down, and then access the Slave node for the camera's and loop them all.

For the most part, you have relatively complete access to the security portion...you can alter camera's, loop, shut down whatever. Think of the secured node as pretty dangerous enough not to attempt it with what you have. Id rather get a basic idea of what you are trying to accomplish (whether you'd rather post IC or OOC is up to you) and I'll cinematically post the results. Be creative. I WANT you to succeed, and now that you are in the system, I really dont intend on making a huge deal out of it.

That said...I do intend to study up on the decking rules so that next time we can run it more accurately.

I should have a read/write utility to assist with the datatrail. I need to download the current file, leave the current headers (electronic identification information) on the files and replace the body with the text we have. Then I'll need to access the computer log file and erase the notation about the file being downloaded, and check the system for any backup logs or any other information about the changes made to the file.
I should be able to download in one turn, re/write in another, find the logs in a third, edit the logs in a fourth, and do a last sweep in the fifth, putting me just at three seconds of real time.

Yes, my intention is to suck back whatever IC is hanging around and hit the Slave node, wait a full combat turn for everything to refresh, and then pound the door open. I'll be sucking back whatever IC is floating around in the meantime because I'm saving my hacking pool for the tests to open the door.

No traps and absolutely nothing perking Sully's senses. The place is dead quiet. It's almost a bit strange that you hear or sense nothing from Mr. Graves office, however, you assume it's the strength of the door (if it's anything like the door to the storage vault) that is keeping your senses in the dark, so to speak. :)
