2115: Trying to steal Frotsy's dragon ring will result in me being popped like a zit with a force 12 manabolt. No exceptions.
2116: Asking Frosty whether her "carpet matches her curtians" is also right out (and a very stupid question to ask an elf, anyways.) |

It was a brutally straight-forward movie - every event was completely predictable. However, due to the storytelling (and the visuals (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif) ), the movie was one of the best I've ever seen. I saw it 3 times opening week, and I'm planning on buying a 3D TV so I can get Avatar in 3D when it comes out. Let's end the spoilers, please. I've seen it, you've seen it, but can you guarantee that everyone on the board has? It hasn't gotten bad yet, but I'm BRUTALLY anti-spoiler. |

It's a reference to Space Balls (a Mel Brooks movie). One of the classic lines is when King Roland is giving into demands and relaying the "super secret combination passkey":
[King Roland has given in to Dark Helmet's threats, and is telling him the combination to the "air shield"] Roland: One. Dark Helmet: One. Colonel Sandurz: One. Roland: Two. Dark Helmet: Two. Colonel Sandurz: Two. Roland: Three. Dark Helmet: Three. Colonel Sandurz: Three. Roland: Four. Dark Helmet: Four. Colonel Sandurz: Four. Roland: Five. Dark Helmet: Five. Colonel Sandurz: Five. Dark Helmet: So the combination is... one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage! After which: President Skroob: Did it work? Where's the king? Dark Helmet: It worked, sir. We have the combination. President Skroob: Great. Now we can take every last breath of fresh air from Planet Druidia. What's the combination? Colonel Sandurz: 1-2-3-4-5 President Skroob: 1-2-3-4-5? Colonel Sandurz: Yes! President Skroob: That's amazing. I've got the same combination on my luggage. Dark Helmet, Colonel Sandurz: [looks at each other] All quotes from IMDB. |

2123: Just because my GM let me write "ultima" down in the spell list of my mundane character as a joke, does not mean that if I find a way to use magic I can actually cast Ultima. Let alone at a force of "Awesome" with a drain of "wtfpwn"
2123a: I may no longer use character sheets with a spell section for my mundanes. |

2131: There is no "Jedi" magical tradition in SR. Actually, I think there is. Zoroastrian is really damn close. Besides, Star Wars was made in the 70's which means that it does exist as a (100 year) old film, so the odds that there are still fans around is pretty good. I'd argue that George Lucas actually made 9 films though, and that the second three (that is I, II, and III) weren't overhyped special effects block busteds. |
