Perhaps a "Shop" for them? It's 5000 and will have to be extra. I honestly don't know what to drop to squeeze that in. We can go for a standard Drone Launcher, not the Landing variety that'll catch returning ones automatically.

I think we can dump satellite communication if we are desperate for a slot, all our comlinks should have it anyways. However it is a good redundant system if we do not need the slot.
Didn't you copy over the wrong stats since that one has a weapon mount and we were going with the sig masking? |

First off: I'm sorry that I fell silent for that long, Real life can sometimes soak all the free time from important things. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
The secure yacht is a good notion. Perhaps rather than having it as a shiny, modern boat, it can have a dirty, run down exterior and be part of a "Shadowrunner Fantasy Tour" for rich young people... Shadowrunning is very big in the media, after all... TV shows and games glamorize it. That's a great idea, actually. "We look like shadowrunners, sir? Thank you, I thought those acting lessons were a waste of time and cred!" |

I've been on the side of a secure yacht the entire time. I feel the same way. Also, I don't want you guys to think I'm not interested in discussing the specifics of the boat, I just don't know a lot about the subject in general, and I don't think I'd be able to add anything to the conversation that you guys don't already bring to the table. -milk. |

No worries people, just making sure people are still around (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . I'm going to start putting together a list of things we need to get to make our cover as "shadowrunners" work....which oddly enough I think we'll have most of already....weird...

Ares Predators for everyone!
Also, we can pass off the Internal Cameras upgrade as being part of the whole shtick. |

Bah, NATO standardization is so last-century.
Guys, if you're going to put in a shop, you have to specify what it's a shop for. Generic 'shop' doesn't work. |

I'm guessing it's for whatever they'll need. Machine Shop to fabricate parts for drones and the ship? I dunno. Just plugged it in there, I'll let the Rigger and Hardware fellas say what they need and we'll find a way to squeeze it in.

If we've got some left over cash from start-up, I might suggest we pick up a dozen or so flash-bangs. I didn't think about it when I made my character, and I have a feeling they'll be handy.

So just saw the Memorial post, so I'm guessing there are open spots? I'd like to join, anyone want to give me a quick overview of what is going on since I don't feel like reading 13 pages of posts? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Quickest of overviews: we are going to get hired by a Mr. J that sounds like big government. He is hiring us to harass someone (we haven't been given the incredibly specifics yet). He is giving us 500K to kit out a boat as well as gear that we may need. We fancy ourselves privateers now! So we are primarily deciding what to buy.
As far as the team goes, we're mostly ex-military. We have alot of muscle, one face (me), one hacker/rigger (Whizbang was going to do it, but MusicMan is stepping up if he stepped out), one captain (knight), and one mage (marwynn). Our general goals when creating characters has been to create people useful on the high seas, and ideally good at boarding other vessels. We'll probably be spending most of our time on our boat (which we have now nearly settled on) or in different ports of harbor. We'll be in the Caribbean, so plan accordingly. Oh yeah, and welcome aboard! And there is an OOC thread up already called "Blood in the Water" with some of our characters up already. |

We be pirates. Arr!
We're a bunch of wet freelancers on a cool boat that are under extended contract with a corporation. We lay off their corp's ships, don't engage in slave trade of any kind, and we're free to run amok on the high seas. Characters are 420 BP, and it's suggested that you have Swimming 2 and Nautical Mechanic 1 at least. These are what we have currently: QUOTE (CollateralDynamo) So, right now I have seen these people mention both their desire to play and a character concept: Knight Saber: CO: Ex-marine, street sam CollateralDynamo: XO: Ex-spy, Phys Ad Face and Close-quarters expert Marwynn: Infiltration Mage, sneaky and supportive Milk Ducks: CQB Specialist Whizbang: Hacker/Rigger Budoka05: Adept Boarding Expert with the softer, cookier side BaronKen: Doctor & Cook Ears: Troll Build-a-buddy, can repair anything...sounds like he might be good in a fight too... MusicMan: Weapon Specialist Street Sam We have a 500,000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) budget for the boat and any shared equipment. English, I believe, is our common language but feel free to grab others. Gotta PM Penta for his email address when you have a character all worked out. Yep, I got my own diving gear as well. Need some spare air tanks or something for my Water Carbine. |

Sounds like fun. Also sounds like all bases are more or less covered. You say hacker/rigger. I'm guessing that means a hacker who happens to have some drones? I might use a new rigger concept I've been working on. That or a backup mage generally isn't such a bad idea.
I'll take a look at the other characters and see if there is a glaring gap I might be able to fill. 400 BP all the standard stuff? Is karmagen allowed? |

Psst. Guys. Diving gear. I too have already purchased my set of diving gear and accessories. On a different note, I was thinking about another Face character or information gathering Hacker. Mainly because Penta, our Voice of God, has said intelligence gathering will be very, very important. Do we need another Char for more information gathering? |

The hacker/rigger hasn't submitted anything to me yet, so no idea what that means. 400-420 BP (try to aim for 400, but if you need to go over to make the concept work, you have 20 BPs to play with), Karmagen isn't allowed - your GM is a bit newbie to the role, and so is trying to keep things simple. When you have a background done, throw it at me via PM - if it works, I'll give you my email address to send the background, sheet, etc. to for final review. When it's approved, you then post it all (if you want) to the OOC thread. |

Alright, normal BP it is. I had an idea of doing a generalist, which is generally alot easier to do under karmagen, but BP it is, I'm good at making things work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
May take me a while to get a background in, as I use a very... well I basically work on the background as I work on the character, building each off of the other. |

Okay guys, I went through the core book and took general items that we are going to need. There are still things that I haven't covered and I'll mention those at the end. I am thinking that everyone just start requesting things that THEIR CHARACTERS will be able to USE and we can add them to the shopping cart. My gear list runs with the idea that our cover is that we are shooting a reality show/shadow tours production of "Shadowrun for Rich Kids" or some such. Therefore it includes some things that are really just there to sell the cover (including new Fake SINs for everyone here that mesh all of our backgrounds together and fit well with our cover):
CODE Group Gear: Directional Jammer Rating 7 1400 White Noise Generator Rtg 6 300 Tag Eraser x 5 750 Autopicker Rtg 6 1200 Keycard Copier Rtg 6 1800 Mini-Welder x 3 750 Monofilament Chaisaw x 3 900 Wire Clippers x 5 125 Chemsuit Rating 6 x 4 2400 Climbing Gear x 6 1200 Diving Gear x 5 10000 GPS x 10 2000 Light Sticks x 50 250 Rapelling Gloves x 10 700 Survival Kit x 5 500 Grappel Gun x 4 2000 400 M. Stealth Rope 340 catalyst Stock x 4 480 Medkit Rating 6 600 NanoPaste Disguise, Small x 10 5000 NanoPaste Disguise, Large x 5 5000 Fake SIN Rating 4 (w/acting background) x 10 40000 Fake Permits Rating 4 x 10 4000 - permit to own modified yacht - permit for concealed armor - permit for chameleon - permit for fuzzy logic - permit for interior cameras - permit for lock-on countermeasures - permit for personal armor - permit to shoot footage - permit to own "realistic replicas" - permit to carry passengers Profession Camera x 2 1600 Total cost: 81695 Total cost w/ boat: 413,570 This gives us another 86.5 k to: -pick out some heavier ordanance, possibly explosives and HMGs, maybe even rocket launchers, if any of us have the requisite skills -pick up 2 zodiac boats (see stats up thread), i'm thinking we should kit one out for stealth, and kit one out for shock and awe firepower -possibly buy a land vehicle of some sort that we can store on the yacht (small subcompact? 2 or 3 motorcycles? something) -just start throwing requests out people and i will try to keep a running list. Please please PLEASE, only request things you are capable of using. Nothing is more embarrassing then owning 50k worth of explosives and finding nobody capable of using them. |

We can grab some M79B1 LAWs, 750 a pop. It's "only" 12P AP-6 against Vehicles, but it's the only legit launcher we can get in Arsenal. The Aztechnology Striker's 1k and lets us reload it though.
I only have Heavy Weapons 1 though, so let's not go nuts. |

Instead of a rating 6 med kit, we can install a Medical Station 6 from Augmentation. It is 70 Nuyen per rating and it can serve 2 patients at a time. It would be 180 Nuyen cheaper than the rating 6 Med Kit and it'll take care of two patients.
However we will still need a med-kit to provide first aid to stabilize injured guys in the field... Similar idea: medicines. They make a good bargaining tool in developing world nations that are poor. Plus we can use them ourselves. |
