QUOTE (kzt @ Oct 4 2009, 05:51 PM) *
I would be tempted to introduce changes that result in very bad things happening if the player uses his knowledge. Like changing what happens to from a kidnapping to a car bomb. If the PCs "just happen" to in the perfect place to foil the kidnapping they instead just happen to be in the perfect place to get blown up, etc.

Ohhh, that's evil. I like it, it sounds like something I would do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

Yeah...change up the opposition a bit...Throw some stuff different from what is expected, oh, and implement the "Everything you say from the moment you sit down is considered in character"..if he spills something he shouldn't know ICly, make sure it has repercussions(like the thing in LA? He says something about that, have things changed
because the information got out!)

I've never played the run before, but on the same vein as kzt, make it so the body you're recovering isn't a dead cop/drug-dealer, it's a sedated and furious cyberzombie (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) It's still a 'cop' in the way robocop is a cop.

Normally i will tell/warn my players i am running a published game if I plan do so, both in an attempt to find out if they know beforehand and to avoid them looking at it. If they have enough integrity they won't look at it beforehand. If they wan't to read it anyways there is not much that can be done about it anyways.

Some other suggestions

1) drop the scenario altogether.
2( run the scenario as is.
3) take a break as the GM and ask if the player in question want to run the scenario, you will be a NPC player role.
4) alternatively ask the player to be help GM and let him play the dead cop (haha)
